Bought a bracelet for 99p a couple of weeks ago, not special or high quality or anything, but pretty. Wore it for the first time today and it exactly matches a silk scarf I have. I do like things to be matchy matchy.
They are an EYESORES!!!!6 -
Struck lucky today. I popped into cats protection to drop off some stuff and had a browse. I bought a lovely twin set by a company I’d never heard of. It cost me £8.50 but was lovely fabric and had a really “expensive feel to it.
Ive looked it up since I’ve got home as it is really lovely fit, very drapey and they retail at over £80 so I’m feeling even more happy. Hopefully this will be a picture.

Today I bought a childrens book "Daisys Babies" for my dil to be as she adores bulldogs, and has a stash of books for babies as yet unconceived!! A lovely sturdy cotton shopper covered in sausage dogs (it is a dog rescue shop!) and a vintage harmonica for my 32 yr old sons birthday. Plus a lovely purple glass vase for my dd's grave, purple was her favourite colour and I hate those plastic flower holders that are normally used. All for the princely sum of £2.10, the 10p was the book.Slightly bitter7

A long week-end away gave me the chance to have a nosy around the charity shops of Northallerton and Thirsk. Some nice, quality things but much more expensive than home. But the Sue Ryder shop was having an 'everything £3 or under' day so I picked up a pair of M & S navy, fine needlecord, (so fine it looks more like velvet), jeans with some fancy gold studding round the waistband and front pockets. £2 and look like new. Never seen this style either in their stores or online. In another shop I got a necklace for a particular summer dress....pale pink and burgundy glass beads on a long pewter coloured chain. The "long' necklaces were supposed to be £2 and 'short' ones £1 but the lovely assistant insisted I only pay £1 for it...I sneaked another £1 in the collecting tin when she wasn't looking8

Morning,
off work at the moment so have had the chance to have a good read back at all your bargains! I smiled when I saw the word 'Chazza' as that is what I called it when I was 14/15 referring to where step mum went regularly (I did go sometimes) . It was just a gloomy shop , boy did she come back with some bargains when I think back. I've been in CS for 30 plus years on and off but thanks for the tips on labels - still learning! Must admit the variation in prices does annoy, overpricing stuff its silly.

I'm new to the thread but thought i would report on a recent find. I was hooked on charity shops when i was younger and then just stopped. DD and a friend have got me hooked again but it is weather and health dependant.
Im always on the lookout for any items that i can use in my Christmas shoeboxes and have picked up a couple of great items for a charity auction or for presents.
Went into BHF shop the other day. Dont tend to go in this one alot as its expensive but has a nice bric a brac corner. Picked up a brand new Superdrug cruelty free make ur own bath bomb set in perfect condition for 2.99.
While i was there i noticed a bag of soaps with a bath bomb in it for a £1. I knew the bath bomb was worth 2.50 and in perfect condition. I bought the bag thinking i could use the soaps in my Christmas boxes. It was only when i got home that i found one of the soaps was a Jo Malone soap. Further research i found out it retails at £32. This little soap in perfect condition worth £32, couldnt believe it. Another soap was worth £4. These 2 soaps have been put away to send to a charity auction but definately my best charity shop bargain so farDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

£32 squids for a bar of soap.....cor blimey.Praps Aldi will copy it like they did with the Jo Malone candles....tee tee!
Picked up a nice little haul todayPair of dark green straight legged jeans stylee trousers by 'Pure' for £4.50 - strange as they had the same style & colour in 4 different sizes. Looked new - from the Cats protection Shop. Then got a 'Twiggy for M & S' white cotton, oversized shirt with the longer back - BNWT and price tag of £35 still attached - chazza price £2 in the Sue Ryder Hospice Shop. Look good with the aforementioned Pure trousers. Finally picked up a lilac, elbow length sleeved M & S t-shirt for 99p in the St Gemma's chazza shop.
Horrid journey home on the bus on a warmish and rainy day....the bus was positively steaming and the air was fetid with people coughing and spluttering. Staring to wonder if it's time to give up on public transport for a while in the present circumstances.....6 -
Must look in the bric a brac/toiletry sections more often especially soaps wow £32 ! pleased for you . Good idea for making hampers, boxes for gifts for xmas . I just normally buy the clothes and household bits when I shop, more recently toys for grandchildren to keep at ours . I re donate a lot back when finished with to make room. The dogs always glad when I come back there is a teddy (not a good one) with no bits inside to destroy lol.
Miro - jeans and shirt (long at the back) sounds great . Bus journey sounds an ordeal!

I would just carry on with your life as normal, would you think anything of people coughing under normal circumstances?
