My first thought was 'how very generous of the family' quickly followed by '400 bags! many unworn with tags!!'. If l totally emptied my admitidly small cottage I couldn't come up with 400 bags in total!!

I don't think these items will be for their normal customers!!
    Slightly bitter

My first thought was "400!" then "How Big were the bags?!"
And since the sizes are up to 16, I think I wish all who hunt the best of luck & will save my rail fare for other finds.
(My lad's room produced over 40 bags. The family may have just had a really through tidy out over half term & roped in cousins etc?)
  • Cant compete with above post for poshness, but did get DH a long awaited winter coat at local hospice shop. Waterproof, thick padding, fleece detachable hood etc. Only £6 and still retailing for £80. He has been puting off buying a coat for months, so this was a brilliant find, and his birthday too. Now I want one ........
  • is it nice  wondercollie ? i think i prefer the plain colours particulary blue quite excited to start my search just got to get to the shops hope it doesnt snow anytime soon
It is.  The flowers are sort of line drawings.  He said it wasn’t feminine and that’s what caught his eye.

Had a chazza trip to Otley this afty in glorious but chilly sunshine.  Came back empty handed and deflated so ended up back home and in the city centre where I struck lucky.  In the BHF shop I found a pair of pure wool, black, high waisted, straight legged trousers by a Scandinavian make called 'Rika'.  Look new but are very creased so will need a good steaming.  Can't find exact style on t'interweb but similar sell for £300+.  Chazza price £2.99. :)   Sounds a horrific normal price but they are beautifully made, for e.g. everywhere that would normally just be overlocked is bound with tape as is the bit of trouser leg that sometimes gets worn at the back of the ankle/foot that is reinforced with tape too.

We went over to a godfather's this weekend - we have led him into charity shops before & he's getting better! Retford had an assortment of fun, not least good sewing needles at Barnardos, a Denby Cotswold coffeepot & a Denby Baroque craftsmans footed mug! (I know, Baroque can be a little fragile & abrade its colours, but a single piece carefully tended?!)
Dear me, the winds & the weather though...
