DFV - glad you got through it as well as you could. C J said it well.
Made a couple of purchases today.
The first was a River Island leather belt with a large oblong buckle, it has diamantees all round the edge and a flower in the middle with diamantees but not too blingy, the buckle is a sort of tarnished gold finish and the belt has studs in the same metal - £2.50 which I don't think you can argue with for a leather belt.
The other item was a pair of Garmin Forerunner 305 running watches, one each for DH and myself, have wanted one of these for ages to track my running distance and speed, they had been reduced from £30 to £15 for the pair and had all the bits in the box, we got them from BHF and they said we could return them if there was any issue with them. Hope they work as well as I'm expecting.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I keep an ongoing list of Things I Would Like, and managed to cross a few more of them off today at Nettlebed. These included a large panini press (£55 on Amazon) for £3, four cookery books I’d been after for £2 in total, a brand new Paw Patrol moon chair for nearly-three-year-old grandson who is OBSESSED with the programme (£1), a boxed Wallace & Gromit alarm clock in full working order (just because I heart Gromit) for £1, various bits from the bric a brac stall (replacement towball cover, soft broom for washing the car, large watering can, two packs of those reflective padded sheets you put behind the radiators, and a large chrome over-door spice rack ...... all for £5) and the best bargain of all which was a set of two rechargeable batteries for cordless Makita tools for £5. Mister C J is very pleased with those.0

Found a great charity shop near us that sells baby clothes and maternity clothes. Brilliant bargain as I am pregnant now and also trying not to buy anything new, so really pleased with this!0

I picked up a couple of fabric remnants yesterday both in a ditsy floral, I will be using them to make beeswax wraps - it is a fraction (and I mean fraction) of the price to make your own. DH got a pair of light wash Easy jeans in a slim fit for £1 and an as new Berghaus belt pouch, it is just the cutest thing, the front has a hard shell to protect the contents, the opening has a sort of hinge inside so it stays open till you zip it back up but the best bit is it has its own little rain cover stashed in the bottom - £2.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I think the secret is the soy wax? Not something I had heard of before, hence the link plus a how to.
That said, since the link says not to worry about food grade wax, if you can find a soy candle - away you go!0 -
Had to Google wax wraps....never heard of them before. Quite fancy having a go now
Had a little trundle around the community charity shop this afty and found a pair of BNWT New Look Premium Range ankle boots priced at £5. Burgundy leather and leather lined too....originally priced at £54.99......had no idea New Look did anything of such quality! Teeny kitten heel and very pointed toes  I only tried them on for a laugh but they were very comfy and I actually liken them so they came home with me. Never worn anything like this before so will be a new experience
Found them online
