Went to the local hospice 'Rumble in the Jumble' morning today. Found nothing in the 'Jumble' but in the general hospice shop, just as I was leaving, I spotted a pair of stone coloured jeans by a Spanish make called 'SBelt by Jocavi'. Slimfit and just above ankle length with a fancy metal plate on the back waistband and snazzy flower shaped rivets on pockets and ankle split. Perfect fit and lovely fabric - just enough stretch to be comfy whilst at the same time holding in the wobbly bits. BNWT and could not believe my eyes at the original price of £119, (had been reduced to £89 tho:p). Chazza price.....£2!!1

You all do so well with your bargains. I find fewer and fewer these days even though I do go on forages fairly regularly. I also deliberate quite a bit when I do see things I like and try to think when/where I would wear it and often talk myself out of things because I can't see enough use in it.
Yesterday I wandered around 6 shops in a nearby town but didn't really come up with anything except a brand new merino wool reversible beanie hat. Supposed to be meant as a ski accessory but as a cyclist it is perfect for under helmet on really cold days, £3.1 -

I dropped some donations off at our local CS yesterday morning so had to have a look round. Found a BNWT top by Zaggora, which is a sports brand. It's quite an odd top - the material is almost neoprene-like. Good for me though as I do boot camp in all weathers and the odd wet, muddy, race, so this will be good for that. £3.95.
Later on I went to the affluent town nearby to meet a friend. It has tons of CS shops and I have had many bargains from there. Yesterday no exception. I went in to the RSPCA shop which was SO busy - good to see, but a bit overwhelming! The ladies at the till told me it was because it was the first day of their 'designer rail'. They had some lovely, lovely things, and I came away with:
A pair of navy blue BNWT Gerry Webber trousers. £110 RRP. I paid £15. These are slimfit, lovely soft material, from the GW 'luxe' collection, whatever that is.
Then, out of the corner of my eye I saw a jacket. I have been telling myself I must STOP buying coats and jackets, as I have so many. But I just knew this one was good quality. I could see a logo (but no name) but knew I recognised it but couldn't remember what it was. Anyway, it is a reversible parka - one side in navy blue and the other in grey. It's from Sweaty Betty and this is the nearest online example I could find: https://www.carbon38.com/product/deep-winter-ski-jacket-reversible-black-granite-grey
It was TWELVE POUNDS - not cheap, but given the RRP I am DELIGHTED. It is in amazing condition and I absolutely love it.
Then after that excitement in the Scope I found a pair of Nike flyknit trainers in my size for £8. I will wear these on holidays and possibly at boot camp in the summer. They are trail running shoes but will need less mud on the ground than we currently have.
So all in all a very good day!
Happy hunting...1 -

I’m currently on the look out for out doors kit for youngest DD who is doing Duke of Edinburgh silver award in the summer. We got walking boots brand new for £3 previously and yesterday got a proper waterproof jacket that’s not too heavy again looks unused. It’s regatta and I know it’s not high end but a decent price at £4.99. I also bought a brand new seasalt dress for £10. There were another couple of seasalt tunics bnwt but they wanted £20 each and I think that’s too expensive. Dh also got a rucksack. Can’t recall the details but mountain warehouse and less that £5. He uses rucksacks to transport his lap top etc so always likes to have a spare1

I got locked out of my account! The reset my password thingie just wouldn't work. No matter how many times I copy and pasted the password they sent me, I just couldn't get into my account.
So, I wound up creating a new account.
WonderCollie is still here. He'll be 14 in May. Much slower and has white eyebrows and arthritis. He's an old man dog and likes his routine. His walks are slower and shorter but he still loves seeing people. One of his little people calls him Fluffy Dog.The former wondercollie2
