Had a bit of a splurge in Oxfam this afty. Found a cream, pure silk shirt by Autograph in perfect condition, gorgeous fabric and beautifully made, (French seams rather than overlocked ones). Priced at £7.99....would probably have been half that in other charity shops but I loved it and have since found that it is currently selling at £69.99 so that makes me feel a bit better!!

I also noticed that they had a rail of brand new ladies Burberry items, (I'm wondering if they have a deal going on similar to the one with Ted Baker?). They had just three styles and about 6 items in each style.....smart black formal trousers, white cotton fitted shirt and an evening type skirt that resembled a ruched lampshade, (I kid you not!!!)
Ooooh here they all are, for sale on the Oxfam website.....

Can't help with that I'm afraid. Could be one of those 'unbranded' brands iykwim, or one of the 'Made in Italy' brands.

To my local CS, well I was passing and it would be rude not to...
They are having a sale of sorts, but nothing gladdened my eye. In fact, I came away quite miffed as they appear to have doubled the price of paperbacks to £1.
OK, "their shop, their choice" and all that but next time I fancy picking up a novel to read and return, I shall go to the other CS which asks 50p a book.0 -

Found a smashing pair of trousers today in Otley BHF shop to wear with the shirt. Silver grey, fine pure wool and lined to the knees, as new by Great Plains, (who they?), £2.99. They are 'wide legged' and as I have worn slim fit or straight legged styles for ages now they feel a bit funny with all that fabric flappin' round the anklesI do seem to remember reading somewhere that skinnies are 'out' now and this more relaxed fit is 'in' tho. Thought about trying to taper a bit off the side of the legs but they are such good quality and so well made I am hesitant to start messing about with them.....
Oh, and Oxfam in Otley have some of the Burberry stuff too, all small sizes of course, if any teeny tiny people are interested0 -
Went into the local Cancer Research shop today, unpriced Luther dvd set series 1-3, asked for price and got it for £2, that will keep me going for a while!0

Ooh good thinking...i've checked for England but no joy. Do you mean the what i think could be an e, could be a c and ends in a h? or starts with a c and 2nd letter is a h?
It is a puzzler and i'm never good at crosswords, that's not my thing lol0
