  • Hi everyone. What a haul magpie, can’t wait to see them on insta!
Having done all my Christmas present shopping I thought I’d have a trip into our local town to have a look for vegan cookbooks. I’m toying with doing veganuary. Anyway, no cookbooks but I did snag a few bits and pieces.
A Gerry Weber blush coloured fine nut jumper with rhinestones around the neckline £3.99 - perfect for wearing over the Christmas hols and I adore Gerry Weber clothing!!
A pair of denim and co black jeggins £3.49
A jonelle lemon coloured thin knit jumper £3.99.
A Mint Velvet t-shirt. White with a vague watercolour print of nothing on the front.it will go with the jeggins and under several jacket for a smart look. 0.99
An M&S lightweight tailored jacket no fastenings so clearly to be worn open. It is chartreuse according to the label - lime green - and will be worn next weekend over a black and lime dress.b £5.99
And finally, a M&S white top. £2.99. It’s got fancy short sleeves and neckline and is viscose. It’s really pretty so I’m delighted.
Keep posting everyone, I love to read about the things you all pick up.
  • Fabulous finds, Matron midge! Especially the Gerry Weber jumper, which I think you should pass over to me to wear under my GW jacket. :rotfl:

To make my happiness complete I discovered that the Gerard Durel trousers are also BNWT. The tags were hiding when I first tried them on. RRP £155. I think that might be my biggest bargain ever. Am delighted.

Agree with MM that it is brilliant to hear about everyone's finds. I am always inspired by this thread!
  • Haha, if we lived closer together we could share!
Thrilled for you about those trousers. What an absolute bargain!
I’ve seen the collection you posted and I’ll be keeping my eyes pealed for how you wear the item - you always look smashing in your stuff xx
  • Thanks Matron Midge - that is really kind of you! I'll let you keep the jumper. ;-) I've been a bit slack with posting recently (life getting in the way!) but will get back to it. Really do enjoy this way of shopping sustainably. And it satisfies my inner bargain-hunting Magpie. M100XX
  • I am very jealous of the Gerry Webber finds. My favourite brand.
All that clutter used to be money

Magpie/Matron - fab finds you ladies got there. Magpie, what is your name on Instagram? If you don't mind sharing it that is.

Yesterday I got two Christmas baubles, Victorian style ones, 25p each. The only other thing I got was a St Michael 100% wool ribbed waistcoat with buttons, a mans small I think - £2 paid.

Matron - I'm vegan if you want any advice.

Thanks Dolly, I will be in touch if I do veganuary. I think dairy will be the hardest to avoid for me as I’m not a big meat eater. The “Bosh” Facebook page is my inspiration at the moment and I’ve got some great ideas from it so far xx

I'd love to know if anybody on this thread has ended up buying something one of us has donated!

My mother was saying she went out to lunch with a friend, who happened to be wearing a dress Mum had donated a couple of weeks before - she didn't say anything, but was pleased it had found a good home. :)
