Really sorry to hear that.Went out early this morning to feed the birds to find that we had had a visit from the local vandals last night. Freshly painted woodwork graffitied and gouged with a sharp implement, courtesy lights smashed, security mirrors torn off and smashed and refuse bins upended and rubbish strewn about. Could have wept...
Mindless vandalism is always incomprehensible.
It's wool so I'd say yes but I wouldn't have room in my freezer until the meat comes out.DigForVictory wrote: »(Remind me, does tweed need to do a quarantine period in the freezer? And if so, have you Space?!)
Not 100% sure it works anyway.0 -

Oh blimey....never thought of that! As it is 100% wool I suppose it would be a treat for the moths but as they are new I think I will take a chance and not bother. Loadsa room in the freezer tho as I am orft further ooop North to friends for the holiday period so no provisions to be stashed away this year :j (Hoping for the chance to sashay round the charity shops of Northallerton, Thirsk, Ripon & Harrogate between Chrimbo and New Year!

Could have wept....anyhoo, took myself out for a walk to get away from it and, of course, ended up in a few chazza shops. Came home with a pair of BNWT, Boden, British Tweed trousers in navy. Fully lined and such soft tweed - will be soooo cosy, I hope. Found them online selling at £120....price to me in the chazza £9. Would not normally have paid so much but I needed cheering up

How awful, what is the point of these people even existing? Nice trousers though, I have a Boden tweed maxi skirt which I love.
bobsa - well done on the dresses.
Hello Pollycat, nice to have you back.
I've been out this afternoon and made a few purchases.
Two Mason Cash pie dishes, size 5 and size 4, they are stamped Church Gresley, £1 each. A set of 3 Art Nouveau style candlesticks with burnished gold stands in a leaf design with frosted glass shades in a tulip shape in a peachy pink colour, they are all slightly different in height so look really good grouped together - £2. A beard care gift set for DH as a stocking filler £2.25, a Mandara Spa gift set with mini candle, shower puff, body wash and body lotion (full sizes) £2.25, Jack Wills English Velvet gift set for DD, full sizes of scrub, body lotion. body wash and body butter £5 and lastly a set of 3 BN Christmas cake tins for £3, these will be used as alternative gift wrapping as we don't use paper.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Anyone want to bet the Mason Cash bowls will become a tad more expensive/harder to locate since the Royal puddings were made therein? Not that I begrudge the Royal British Legion the publicity, just that if Himself hadn't already assembled the ones he wanted he'd be up against a new tranche of competition!
Welcome back Pollycat!0 -

I hope your new purchases made you feel a bit better.0 -
Himself has money burning a hole in his pocket, but headed for the charity shops first. Bolton Barnardos had a pair of Denby Tasmin salt & pepperpots within the Acquiz guidelines (which took me a full seven google searches to identify! I'm slipping...)
Wishing you all happy hunting be it in sales or charity shops & that there is manageable freezer space for Any Questionable Wool!0 -

The horrors are there in the local Cancer research shop. I've suggested a gift-wrap-for-that-last-minute-gift service & got a "might try that!" response. Ooops.0
