This week I picked up another pair of curtains, my entire house is being upgraded in terms of drapes thanks to the cs and any surplus are being sold on eBay at quite a nice price. Anyway these are full length in cream with a slight stripe and cost £5. I then spotted a customer putting back a very nice stylised man and woman dancing together ornament. It looks lovely and at £5.99 I swooped and it is now mine ! I also saw a very large glass hurricane lamp/ vase for £5.75. I was in about twenty minds so left it. Typically as soon as I got home this took on mythical qualities in my head and I was imagining it with seasonal decor etc. In the end I rang the shop and asked them to keep it until the next day. I bought it and LOVE it0

Called into our local hospice chazza today for the first time in ages and was pleased to find a smart pair of navy, slim fit, heavy cotton trousers by 'Cos'. Never heard of this make before but I thought the trousers seemed very good quality and were well priced at £2. After a bit of Googling I was surprised to see that such items, on their website, are priced from £70 upwards! Also noticed that they have a shop in our fancy schmancy new shopping centre so they must be quite a high end make. Just need to get out the old sewing machine and turn 'em up a bit as Cos appear to cater for giraffes!

Miro - have you finished with the restraints yet? I've bought another brown bag, this is a large shopper type, looks totally unused, not a mark on it, faux leather from a brand called Nica - £5 paid. How many bags do I think I need though?
Also got DS a joke book, again looks new, hardback £1.50.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

You should have yelled....I would have teleported the communal restraints over to you!!!! As far as bags go....'need' has nothing to do with it, it's all about sparks of joy
I used to be a right old snob about faux leather bags but with all of the recent monsoon-like weather we have had I am now a convert. So nice not to have to worry about rain marking the leather and just a quick wipe to dry and clean.....brilliant! As far as 'how many'.....I sometimes think of counting how many of certain things I have, (bags/dark jeans/white & black t shirts, black trousers), but just the thought gives me palpitations....:D 0 -
Had a mooch around the £1 CS at the weekend for the first time in months. I got:
A pink loose knit jumper (Fat Face).
A navy blue and white striped jumper (M&S). This is 3-4 sizes too big for me but I love an oversized jumper and it's cosy and will look great with skinny jeans.
A navy blue and white polka dot playsuit (Primark). I recognise it from this summer's stuff in Primark, so it can't have been worn much. I generally try to avoid secondhand Primark, but for £1, I don't mind! I think it'll look good with a long t shirt and thick tights for winter as well.
Black jeans (H&M). These are sooo stretchy and comfy, I have several pairs of black jeans
but I've been looking for a really comfy pair as was about to buy some much more expensive ones, so I'm very happy with this one!
A black floaty top with orange and red leaf detaling (Wallis). I wasn't 100% sure about this as it's not really my usual style, but thought I'd give it a go, and if I don't wear it, it can go back to the CS
