Magpie! Well done!
Those are great finds, the two shirts especially,
I'd wear the first one so much, the last is gorgeous too but maybe not so useful, to me at least!
I wish I'd half your luck!
It's a bit Native Red Indian (if that's still the politically correct term) - imho.
Great bargains, Magpie100.
DFV - glad your lad is OK. Must have been a bit scary for his flat-mate.
Of the 'newer' Denby stuff, I like Storm and Azure.
I think Storm is now discontinued...?
Odd how Greenwich, Regency Green and Imperial Blue have lasted for years and lots of other ranges have come and gone (remember Baroque?).0 -
dfv - glad to hear your son is OK.
magpie - nice buys there as usual from you.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

A pair of white leather moccasin loafers with snaffle detail for £2. I don't know what brand they are but they look really good quality. I was young in the eighties so have always had a bit of a penchant for white shoes!
Loads of tops: blue and white striped long sleeve, grey t shirt, red and black long sleeve Addidas, red and white Addidas tank, white Nike, teal long sleeve and Hogwarts grey tee £8.50 in total.
New Look black jacket 50p which I'm going to jazz up with some buttons I already have.
An oblong plate with a purple, gold and turquoise Biba/Age of Aquarius type pattern £1
A diamant! star brooch. I asked how much and the woman said it had a moon brooch that went with it. £1 for both. It looks great on my Diesel denim jacket which I bought many years ago in Oxfam for a fiver and which I love.0 -
in our local charity shop they have a mens tweed jacket for sale. I know tweed is expensive but it is priced at £85!!!!! Does anyone who goes in a charity shop to buy spend £85? Considering the item has been donated I think that is overpriced.0

That's a bit eye-watering - does the shop have the brand make & model so you know what the RRP is? As if it's some designer cut & of an exotic tweed, maybe £85 isn't Quite as unreasonable but it's still a lot!0

Was passing our CRUK, barn-sized clearance place today so had to call in for a lookee. Came away with a pair of George, black, slim fit trousers - bnwt and priced at £2. Nothing special but fine for trudging about in this never ending rain! They seem to have a very strange pricing policy here though at CRUK. Tried on a b/n 'Matthew Williamson for Debenhams' dress, (sadly too short:() which was priced at £3 yet they were selling well worn Matalan and Primark t shirts also for £3!
Re chazza prices....I think the most I have ever paid for one item was £50 for a gently used Mulberry bag, (RRP for new at the time was £700ish). Also paid £30 for a b/n Ted Baker bag once. Otherwise my buys tend to be well under the £10 mark0 -
There is no way I would spend £85 on a spur of the moment cs purchase which I can't return most likely. The most I have paid is £20 for my Dr Martens Lette chelsea boots which I love.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

.......so I went and bought a pair of white jeans in the St Gemma's Hospice shop!!
Why??*
*They are Viyella straight legged, nice quality fabric and a better fit that M & S these days as they go in at the waist! Have been watching them for a couple of weeks in the hope that they might migrate to the 99p rail. They didn't. Finally caved in today by telling myself they were only the price of a coffee and a teeny cake at £3.99.
Washed said white jeans and went to 'file' them away ready for either a holiday somewhere warm or next summer only to find I already have 3 pairs almost exactly the same (quality/cut/style/fit/fabric/good brand):o:o:o:o

Obsessive research continues on the other bargains. :rotfl:
I absolutely love this! I’m a real peacock-a-holic. Keep posting on insta, I love seeing how you style things up xx0 -
Thanks, Matron Midge! Should be some more content later today.0
