The last few days have seen some bits coming home with DD and me.
Crew Clothing navy & white breton stripe t shirt, 3/4 sleeves £1.50
Wallis duck egg blue chiffon blouse with silver grey design with branches, birds and butterflies, 3/4 sleeves that have a split and a tab but the split is filled with more of the same fabric, looks lovely with my silvery grey linen trousers £3.50
Various books from my reading list ranging from 49p-99p, from memory I got, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, a Sebastian Faulkes novel, Memoirs of a Geisha, About a Boy and Elizabeth is Missing which I realised I had read as soon as I got home.
DD got a pair of Topshop Joni Jeans which she has been looking for forever - £3.99
A St Michael 1990's fit and flare strappy dress in black with a beige polka dot, again she has been looking for one of these for ages so was very pleased at £3.
A F&F houndstooth blazer in grey with a blush stripe, double breasted, oversized £2
A Country Collection 100% Lambswool cardigan, round neck with green buttons, very granny chic and DD and I will share this, looks unworn and has the QC sticky on the label £2.50
Another book - Daisy's Vintage Cornish Camper Van - 30p
Next legging jeans with a ripped thigh for DD £1.75
A little cream house with windows for a tealight £2
A navy blue cotton pinafore dress with a circle skirt £1.50
A BNIB Costa Clever cup - you can load money onto a chip in the base and pay with your cup, I won't do this but do use a travel cup for work and the metal Costa ones are the best, they keep the drink scaldy hot and don't leak £5.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Had a look at a few of the charity shops in town, both local charities.
Greyhound Rescue:
A Disney tsum tsum plate 50p and a Nutmeg t-shirt for toddler DGS 25p.
Two brand new paper back books, shrink wrapped together, 75p. Saving them for my next (no idea when!) holiday.
The animal sanctuary shop were offering 3 kids garments for £1. Sadly, most were stained, faded or needed mending. Two pairs of shorts for DGS to wear in the garden next summer are now soaking to see if I can make them look better. The third garment is in the recycling bag.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Goodies picked up over the last couple of days.....
HeatGenPlus burgundy top, (think this is M & S but no M & S label showing), tis a sort of thermal garment for winter, long sleeves and high round neck - will be very cosy, 99p from St Gemma's in Otley. Am regretting leaving behind a b/n Ted Baker men's shirt in a 15" collar/small fit size. Gorgeous quality fabric in a small grey & white check and still had all the tags/spare buttons etc. Toyed with the idea of possibly wearing it myself or EBaying it. It was priced at 99p but I think it was an oversight and should have been on the 'Designer Rail'!!
Pair of stone coloured chinos by 'Christopher & Banks' which seems to be an American brand selling for around 70 dollars. Great quality and in as new condition and a size smaller than I usually get yet fit perfectly, (don't you just love it when that happens). £2.99 in the Otley BHF shop.
This afty I made my way into town and called into the city centre St Gemma's there. First thing I spotted on the 99p rail as I walked into the shop was a B/N pair of M & S black, slim legged trousers in a 'fits on the waist' style. Another perfect fit and the attached swing ticket/tag has a price of 35 euros. No idea why they would put them on the 99p rail when in brand new condition, a current style and a regular size 12 but hey ho...not complaining!!!0 -

Whitby has a Lot of charity shops (in a very positive way) & although a teapot eluded me, we have lots of books and a fleece blanket & even found a purveyor of hairpins! (The upstairs of Boyes was like ambling through a wardrobe into a crafty paradise - I left nail clippers & enamel paint tinlets & bedding sets & was suddenly surrounded by fabrics & notions.... I will be investigating other branches with great curiosity!)0

Can thoroughly recommend Boyes in both Ilkley and Northallerton if you are ever that way......quite agree they are an absolute treasure trove of all sorts of 'stuff'0 -
A bargain of the hotter shoe variety today (although the fact that I buy and wear hotter shoes is a matter of great sadness to me 😂)
A brand new pair of these in black suede for £3. I’m hopeful they don’t look too old lady style as I’m imagining thick tights and dresses for winter.
I dropped a large bag of donations at the same time and also currently have 51 items on eBay so I am getting rid of things as well as purchasing0 -
Windspeeds rose so we felled the tent & returned to brick after canvas.
Hartlepool Barnardos had a Denby mug (pear) & the Hartlepool RSPCA has both a Denby White lidded sugar bowl and a hearty book section. As in lots!
Also there is a zero waste shop (bring your own jars but paper bags available) which is great fun & has an impressive range of chocolate (*usually* a zero waste product for me but I gather others may differ!) as well as other useful & fun things.0
