Thomas Pink ladies cotton shirt, pink, straight non fitted style, it does need cufflinks so I will be on the look out or will wear sleeves rolled up - sale rail at £1.80 which was 20p less than the ice creams I got for my kids that afternoon.
Have you looked at their website, Dolly?

Checked website and their cheapest shirts (100% cotton) start at £80 and linen ones range from £100 to £165.

Sighs in awe at these sharp dressed souls!

Not sure brighouse Tesco counts as a charity shop but they have shelves of books, VHS tapes & so forth & himself spotted then rummaged all the donated Star Trek books. Including Tribbles! Youngest bemused but rest of us will share them around.
  • Lace caf! type curtains with sunflowers on them. Three panels at $2 each. We love them, even though they are considered old fashioned here and not that easy to find new.

Tribbles! One of the best Star Trek episodes ever!

Now if I could just find the original Law and Order on DVD, I'd be a happy woman.

We are wholeheartedly in agreement on Tribbles! Wikipedia link here for anyone who has missed this part of their pop culture.

Magpie have Law & Order if buying second hand online isn't Cheating? Site thinks in GBP though (as do I, largely) so you may need an enterprising teenager with passable IT skills & a DVD burner.

ETA linen shirts <slides into reverie of bliss - just so comfortable to wear but alas the devil’s own job to iron>

Nice bus trip to Otley in lovely sunshine this afty. Only find was a fake patterned pashmina style scarf/wrap on the 50p rail in the 99p St Gemma's shop (if that makes sense:o). Dark peach with a wine coloured paisley pattern. Decided to stay on the bus into the city centre coming home in order to visit the BHF chazza, (got nowt), and another branch of St Gemma's where I got a b/n pair of Eastex* wine coloured tapered leg trousers for 99p. Thought they were going to be too small as they are a size smaller than I usually get but it's amazing how forgiving a 'comfort waistband*' can be :rotfl:

Oh dearie me....getting excited about the Eastex brand and a comfort waistband....it's all downhill into my dotage now I fear :D

Team it with a pair of Doc Marts & you're good to go. ;)

Bought a very nice Accessorize narrow 100% silk scarf in purple with overblown lilac and pink roses design. £1.00 Hospice shop.

A Blue Harbour (M&S) short sleeved checked shirt - looks unworn. £1.00 Air Ambulance.
OH will love this. Not only does it have a breast pocket (a must for holiday shirts - apparently ), it also has a button. He'll be :j.
But it will be washed and put away for his birthday next year.

I have made some purchases in the last week:

Thomas Pink ladies cotton shirt, pink, straight non fitted style, it does need cufflinks so I will be on the look out or will wear sleeves rolled up - sale rail at £1.80 which was 20p less than the ice creams I got for my kids that afternoon.

George chiffon shirt in blue with trailing floral pattern and birds, it is a size 18 but not too oversized, I have worn it once for work tucked into a skirt and then with navy leggings yesterday - £3.

Lands End cropped linen trousers in grey £1
H&M Grey jumper, round neck, fluffy knit and with sleeves that are straight to just above the elbow then a bell sleeve - £3

Fat Face red sweat top, with my favourite 1/4 zip neck, ribbing that runs from the cuff to the hem under the arms, beautiful soft cotton £3.

Levis ladies black t shirt with the batwing logo - wanted one of these for ages, it was £4.50 which was a lot but it's the first one I've ever seen.

Tu plain black round neck short sleeved t shirt £1.50, I only have one plain black t shirt and am always saving it rather than wearing it.

BNWT Zara 3/4 trousers, lightweight fabric in black with white polka dots and paper bag waist £1.99

Tommy Hilfiger fairisle jumper, 100% wool £4.50 - this is for DD.

Sweaty Betty green jumper, knitted sleeves with drop shoulder, then a mesh type body but close mesh, the back is attached at the top then split £5, similar on the website are £65 ish if I remember correctly and this looks as new.

BNWT Under Armour white shirt with grey logo, keeps you cool according to the tag £3.

Love the sound of all of these, Dolly - you've made me want to go for a little look in my lunch hour today!

Pollycat - I did look at the Thomas Pink website after buying that shirt and was stunned at the prices, I can't really see that money in the shirt I bought although it is a lovely feeling cotton poplin.

I've been away camping since last weekend at the very, very top of the Yorkshire Dales, I have brought some goodies home with me and will do a post later when I fish them all out and remind myself what they are.

Yesterday I popped into my local hospice shop and saw a huge stainless steel bowl I had seen last week and passed by. I had almost instantly regretted it, having so much produce to prepare for the dehydrator so this time I snapped it up for £4. The makers details were on the bottom and I was gobsmacked to find the bowl on the maker's site for £38! I imagine it has come out of a commercial kitchen and it is really good quality - very pleased with it. Also a pair of unused dressy slingback sandals £1 and the RHS allotment handbook hardback £1. A good day all in all.
