A lovely Ben De Lisi for Principles skirt, pale pink background with a sillhouette design in black, fully lined in pink satin fabric, side zip and button and box pleats to front, very flattering knee length on me, £4.50 paid and it looks lovely on, will look fab with my black poloneck.

    I love that range.
It will surely look fab with a black poloneck...but maybe leave the DMs. :D

Can I add my rather mundane purchase to the tally this week of a jumbo pack off 50 emery boards for 50p :o.... From the community chazza.

4 new separates from the chazzer for my dear niece. Whilst I was looking at the children's rail one of the volunteers pointed out the new stock she was adding to the display, and suggested that I might like these beautiful items. The answer was no, on account of the fact I'd donated them five minutes beforehand :D

Plus 3 works of fiction for a total of 90p, including That Famous Book By Nabokov :)

Pollycat - yes the DM's might be a bit clunky, I think my more girly shoes would finish off that outfit, I just need it to be colder to wear my poloneck.

    Hello everyone,
I managed to get into a charity shop today in Salisbury. Picked up a deep oblong Pyrex dish for £1.50 and a scarf for £2 that I am going to upcycle and turn it into cloth wrapping paper.
Hope you all have a good week.

It's been a bit of a lean time chazza bargains-wise lately:( However a trip to Otley today was a bit better.

First of all, in the 'strange' 20p shop I found a vintage, (I think), cream silk chiffon large oblong scarf with a scalloped edge and cream embroidered flowers at both ends. I checked it minutely for snags/moth holes and any other imperfections but it looks perfect. No idea what I will wear it with but I love it!

Then in the 99p St Gemma's Hospice shop I found a pair of, as new, sand coloured Tu ankle grazer trousers in a really good quality, heavy cotton fabric with a bit of stretch. I left them at first as they were a size too big but for 99p I decided it was worth a go at altering them so ended up going back. Soooo..... the rest of the afternoon will be spent removing the waistband, taking in the sides and shortening and replacing said waistband. Then a quick whizz in the washer and a bit of a press to remove the vertical creases and I hope they will be good to go :)

Also, I might have to dash back to my local community chazza tomorrow as I spotted a lovely Denby casserole-type dish with lid yesterday priced at £2. Brand new with a stamp saying Denby for Debenhams or something like that. Very plain but elegant lines in an unadorned stone or pale grey colour. I talked myself out of it at the time as I rarely cook these days but it has 'haunted' me since so if it hasn't already been snapped up......I'm sure I could find a use for it other than a cooking-type one??
