Nipped into town on a mission this morning. Our nearest town is only small but has a few good shops, I was looking in particular for one of those small plastic greenhouses, alas I didn't find one but will keep looking. I did make 2 purchases though, I got DH a lovely faded denim blue Timberland sweatshirt for £3.99 and I got a reversible Seasalt skirt, it's a line in style, side zip with little zip pulls on both sides for ease, one side is greeny blue with little sail boats and the reverse is a bright abstract design, perfect length just on the knee rather than too short which happens to me a lot - £3.50.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Vfm4 - lovely light shade.
Have been out this afternoon and come home with more stuff.
Ciate Nail Polish x 2 £1 each, these are full size bottles and brand new, they retail for £9 each.
Dotcomgiftshop lunchbag made from recycled bottles, these are the type we buy and DD needed a new one so I was pleased to find one BNWT for £1.
St Michael Harvest Spaghetti Jar, this was from the tip shop and was just £2, it is in perfect used condition and has now had a wash and looks great in my kitchen.
George anti bacterial trainer socks in black for DS, £2 for a pack of 4, not a huge saving on buying in Asda but he needed some more of these and I would rather buy sustainably.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I had an impromptu walk around the charity shops yesterday and got a Pepperberry wrap top that looks new for £3.99.(this fits beautifully) , a brand new Joe Browns long sleeve top for £3.99, a lovely soft Jigsaw t shirt with a silk ruffle (I love this!) for £3.49, a brand new Hobbs jumper for £5, a Boden white jumper for £2 and a Cos grey sweatshirt for £2.99.
I feel bad typing that all out, I think I bought more clothes yesterday then I have in the past 12 months!Nipped into town on a mission this morning. Some really good brands here ^^^^.
Well done both. :T
Am at the seaside for a long week.
Did a 'quick'n'dirty' run through half a dozen shops but nothing interesting.
Truth be told, I'm sulking over a fab vintage bottle green leather coat that was too small for me in my local hospice shop.0 -
Pollycat - the knowing is part of the enjoying. Feel for you with glorious coat that doesn't fit. (Says she with glorious ball dress long outgrown ahem still in cupboard as it still brings me joy [whooee the memories!] & is flagged as the top half of my shroud.)
Himself’s done it again. A pad of drawing paper £1.50. Someone paid £30 for it & the recipient never used it. Artistic son now better kitted.
Book on weaving techniques around the globe, heavy reference, 50 pence from Samaritans Colne.
(I was ordered not to buy a tinlet of enamel paint on eBay as he’d “find it in a shop” - two trips & several art shops later, nope, but today one said flatly “try Boyes”, so we did & every colour sought was there! We got a proper drawing slope, a watercolour mixing daisy & some drawing tackle at the art shop so no one lost out & lad has a birthday present he Wants!)
Off to Cleveleys tomorrow to see what's left in their cs strip after half term0 -
Radly nylon cross body bag. £5.All that clutter used to be money0

People are getting amazing bargains! Sadly seasalt bargains near me are in short supply but love their clothes.
Dh and I found ourselves with a couple of hours this pm so ventured slightly further than the 3 local cs shops. We visited the £1 hospice shop and there I got a crowson vintage Stilton pot, a fluted glass vase and what I think may be a Denby jug but it has no makers marks so I could be fooling myself. Anyway all 3 for £1. I then got a circular boudoir cushion (think that’s what they are called) originally from next for £1. Finally I spied a pair of Laura Ashley curtains which for some reason were £1 per curtain but anyway very happy with my little haul. We then set off for a coffee at m and s but visited the large cancer warehouse type shop. Dh got a pair of brax jeans (usually expensive and his favourite make ) for £3 and I got a lovely mustard yellow boden cardigan for £3.
I’ve decided to redo the spare room on a strict budget and so far new curtains and cushion total cost £3 now I need to find other bargain items0 -
Went to Nettlebed this morning with younger daughter - she came away with armfuls of lovely books for her classroom. I bought an eclectic mix of things, including a BigDug heavyweight chrome 72 bottle wine rack for £3 (I just looked it up on Amazon and it’s around £120!), a cast iron and wood Vigo cider apple press for £2 on the bric a brac stall (the chap running the stall admitted that he didn’t know what it was). I also got a fabulous big chunky beech chopping board for £5, and a set of six large Sistema clip top cereal storage containers for £3. A good day, but hoo boy it was busy there.0
