Observation from my jaunt around Dumfries today, I would like to suggest that Royal Jelly is moving up the charts and now giving B&H a challenge in the donated toiletries stakes!
I did not go out for a pair of Ugg boots, but they were my size and the CR shop manager said he was fairly sure they were genuine (which my subsequent research seems to bear out), so I flashed the contactless to the tune of £20 as it seemed the chance of a lifetime - I would never pay the £165 online price for a pair of rather unflattering black boots!
Winter, you may now return for a brief period! :laugh:I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Adult son found a beautiful, warm, bnwt Superdry three layer jacket in his local chazzer. They'd only just put it on the rail and it was his for £5.
Price in the Superdry shop? £179 in the sale!
Needless to say, he's thrilled.

I'll bet he is.
Pollycat - I don't know if I can get rid of another coat to make room, I love them all.
Miro - I just went into the shop at Betty's this time but have had afternoon tea there before and think it is worth it as an occasional treat. I haven't found the coat itchy at all, I wore it most of the day yesterday with a thin knit jumper underneath and it never bothered me once but I do wear a lot of wool so have quite a high tolerance to the prickling. I must have said 'I love this coat' about 5 times yesterday, I wore it with a purple and grey tweed skirt, grey jumper, thick tights and Dr Martens Lette chelsea boots and a pink and grey blanket scarf.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

A quick trip to the local c/s & I bagged another bargain - a brand new pair of Clark’s men’s tan smart shoes with a rubber sole for £9.50 - these look like the ones that cost between £55-£80 on their website & OH goes through shoes like nobody’s business!“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Don't think I've ever actually bought a hanger!Lots of the charity shops and other 'proper' clothes shops round here give them away. Not the nice wooden ones but often the heavy duty M & S type ones.
Today's purchase from the 99p shop in Otley was a Debenhams jersey maxi dress in black and white with yellow splodges. Tempted to lop a few inches orft the bottom and make it a midi as I think it would be more useful that length?0 -
I would Miro, you're likely to wear it more often.
I'm lying here eyeing up my collection of jersey dresses deciding which is next for the chop. I've got some nice knitwear and nothing to wear on the bottom half so I've cut some seldom used dresses into skirts.Norn Iron Club member 4730 -

I very rarely do things for simply aesthetic reasons but a few years ago I decided to replace all of my mismatched clothes hangers with lovely wooden ones & I find my wardrobe looks much tidier. I got lucky as a shop round the corner from me had a closing down sale & was selling off all of their wooden hangers really cheaply so I bought as many as I could carry - I think I got about 30 for about £6!“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A.
