  • I found a Linea wrap dress in the Heart Foundation shop, still with the shop tags on, then a week or two later found an Eastex jacket which is a lovely match for the dress - perfect for 2 weddings we're going to in the summer!! Cost was £18.99 for the dress, and £10.99 for the jacket.

But at least you scratched that itch! No point in buying something you don't need or want.

I think I may have a bargain...but Miro may come along to rain on my parade. ;)

    I've bought a BNWT 60% cashmere/40% silk scarf.
It's from the 'Cashmere Centre' which is apparently based in Little Horwood, Bucks.
Their scarves are £29.99 in the sale, usually £35.00.

I think the colour might be 'fizz wizz'.

I paid £1.00 from Age UK.

    It's in the freezer. :D

It may end up mine or I might pop it away for a gift for a friend.

:o:o:o. Awww never! Gorgeous colour...one of my faves.... Saw a lovely cashmere cardi recently, as new and dead cheap but had a tiny moth hole on the shoulder. Would have been easy to sort out. Never tried the freezer thingy but the thought of moths makes me all squirmy!

Harrump...as a 'new user' *cough* I had to remove your linky in order to be allowed to post.:o

I saw another pashmina (looked bigger than my scarf) new in a bag but was put off because it was priced at £5.00.
I think I'll pop back and if it's the same brand, I'll snap it up - their shawls are £75.00 (£65), the wraps are £89.00 (£75) and pure cashmere stoles are £59.00 (£49).

Y'know some days that my lads can read a Denby basestamp the way they read the alphabet makes me think I should have aimed higher & taught them Cashmere.

Though with my washing talents, perhaps better not. Also anything frozen plus hungry teenagers is a dubious combination - I can hear "you said we were to eat more fibre" - yes but not cashmere in a curry sauce...

It may be fizz whizz? Not London Red or Turkish Delight or Evening Gown or Honeybee or Grapevine - I moused over the entire palette, awed & chuckling!

A House of Fraser sack of metal nameplates is headed my way, it'll come to Leeds so all the team can have a rummage, and once everyone has something to glint over, the sack will go to Liverpool and be put to use by a local church. I tell you, when it comes to re-homing the bizarre, Love (and her little sister Mischief) will find a way! Rousing cheers to the HoF staff for being willing to sell me two huge bags, one paper with string handles and one huge plastic to make it all luggable.

    Indeed.
    10/10 for marketing. :)
I think the same about Denby.
    Marrakech evokes bustling medinas.
    Luxor is obvious. :)
Oh - and arabesque which I loved when working in a department store as a Saturday girl in the late 1960s.

Pollycat - can I be the friend you give the scarf to? It's lovely.

I picked up a few bits today. Yankee Candle tart in Gingerbread Maple - 50p, I prefer the tarts to the candles and love baking scents. Mens Joules Microfleece top in navy blue with red top stitching, 1/4 zip neckline, this looks unworn and wasn't super cheap at £5.99 but DH loved it and wears this type of thing all the time and compared to new the price was good. I got a Heatsavers fleece neck thingy, has a little toggle on to draw the neck in, great for wearing when dog walking rather than a scarf, I also found a BNWT pink running gilet, thin with slight quilting, reflective print on the back and a zip pocket £3.99.

    Errrrm... sorry but no. ;)
I think it's destined to jump round my neck the moment it's released from the freezer.

Actually, I think the Joules top at £5.99 is a pretty good bargain so well done you. :T
