Don't think I've ever actually bought a hanger!
Lots of the charity shops and other 'proper' clothes shops round here give them away. Not the nice wooden ones but often the heavy duty M & S type ones.
I changed over to the space saving hangers a while ago and they really do make your wardrobe look less cluttered.
When I changed over the hangers in our wardrobes my husband asked me if I had got rid of some of his clothes!:rotfl:0 -
My husband is a passionate devotee of real wooden hangars & having asked for a couple last month, there are now 6 charity shops watching out for not just wooden hangars but wooden hangars with interesting things written/scorched on them.
I think they mean the wardrobe Is less cluttered as you just cannot wedge 80 wooden hangars into the space occupied by 80 wire hangers. (Ick, TBH, although where else you source the thick wire for dowsing rods in a hurry I'm not sure.)
Plus he can identify "the green jacket on the Bolton hotel hanger" more clearly.0 -
No coats purchased today. I have however bought another scarf, very, very soft which is what drew me in, shades of cream, pink and navy £2, also a Crew Clothing fleece with a button opening at the neckline, purple colour £1 and lastly a pair of new Next black ankle boots, low wedge heel, seams down the front, I have the exact same style in a knee length version too, £5.99.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

He’s gone & been & Found two Denby mugs (current basestamp both seconds) & while they look gloriously like Denby mist falls, the colour stripes are a bit more random than some photos & the handles are different - which may be why they are seconds!

I'm a long time lurker on here - I love to read about your bargains!
I had an impromptu walk around the charity shops yesterday and got a Pepperberry wrap top that looks new for £3.99.(this fits beautifully) , a brand new Joe Browns long sleeve top for £3.99, a lovely soft Jigsaw t shirt with a silk ruffle (I love this!) for £3.49, a brand new Hobbs jumper for £5, a Boden white jumper for £2 and a Cos grey sweatshirt for £2.99.
I feel bad typing that all out, I think I bought more clothes yesterday then I have in the past 12 months!0 -

So far this year I've bought 4 pairs of shoes (all excellent quality and v comfortable) and a new dress, none of which were planned purchases. Although all were heavily discounted and the total cost is about £80.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
