Suki, well done on slimming down. I bet you did look amazing.

Visited two cs today in my lunch hour. Came out with a book that I have been looking for. David Baldacci - The last Mile for £1.25

I accidentally read book three first - the Fix. I now have book one and two.
    The Memory Man (Amos Decker)
    The Last Mile (Amos Decker)
So will read them both one after the other.

    Of late
Tu BNWT black cord dungaree dress (will hopefully look good with tights and biker boots) £5
    ASOS small silver backpack £5
2 blue and white side plates £2
A blue and white cornishware type bowl with a pouring lip99p
    A small sandwich tray 99p
    A white autograph top £2.59
A fabric big bag I can decant laundry into Mineme grey with white spots and BNWT I think is baby stuff but useful for me for £2
For DS a red River Island top £5 and a pair of new looking black Levis
Also took 3 bags of stuff to donate to keep DH's twitchiness about clutter at bay.
  • I dropped off a bag of books at my local SCOPE charity shop today, and whilst I was there picked up a book for £1, it's a paperback edition of a diary of a local shopkeeper during World War II - https://www.amazon.co.uk/View-Corner-Shop-Yorkshire-Assistant/dp/1471154017/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1537900069&sr=8-1&keywords=kathleen+hey

I also went to a local hospice shop and picked up a hardback copy of Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine for 75p.

I've got a few bags of books to get rid of, so I'm taking some more down on Friday.
  • Green bitten: I picked the Eleanor Oliphant book up for a pound from a local chazzers, it's really good hope you enjoy it xx
  • Himself spotted a Langley plate for £2 - it's a Denby/Langley merger pattern, Sherwood, in perfect nick & full dinnerplate size & some discontinued sites have them selling at £21.50. He wanted reassurance the acquisition committee would OK the £2 on a single piece - I let him, just this once!
After all, it's less than a cup of coffee...

I read this on holiday, it was good.

If you like David Baldacchi, try Nelson DeMille (if you haven't already).
He has a number of recurring characters in his books.
I like the John Corey character ones, especially Nightfall loosely based on real events.
He wrote The General's Daughter, filmed with John Travolta & Madeleine Stowe.

Was tempted yesterday with a lovely (maybe) silk scarf with pansies on.
But it was a square rather than long so I left it.

Have seen lots of Denby Manor Green stuff lately.
No Bayliss & Harding though, but TJ Hughes were filling their shelves with Christmas gift boxes.
  • I got a 3 quid asos coat in cr yesterday its lovely quite long and very flattering ;)
    onwards and upwards
