I bought 10.
ETA:
DigForVictory - I saw a Manor Green small jug for £5.00 but left it on the shelf.
Dead right on both counts! A bra that fits is a joy (says she who knows exactly what M&S have in which store & is only prepared to go into Bravissimo etc after birthdays etc when there is silly money available & anyway I want to have Fun with that). One in every colour, and nine others off or in the wash? Perfect! You just may not put on too much weight over Christmas (or loose it) or you'll have to buy Still More garments.
Unless it were a seriously unusual Manor Green Jug (remember those two foot high Imperial Blue craftsmans mugs used to advertise Denby Sold Here?) the acquisitions committee would need smelling salts at a fiver a piece. Besides, I have a cupboard [which just shuts] of pure Manor Green & I suspect I may have in there or four of the small jugs (I have small jugs in All sizes from tiny through to milk-for-cereal-for-8). Alas the Acquiz Committee knows it exists & uses it as a pretext Not to Buy More. So I do (very quietly) anyway. All part of my pension & some of the pieces were my grandmothers' (yes I come by my Denbyholism from both sides of the family).
My parents are contemplating moving into sheltered accom at some stage - they'd find it a lot easier after a Luftwaffe raid instead of all the choices and unto whoms and other sources of angst. A solid point for staying put until the marbles are all rolled down the hill, I feel. Then I'm trotting in their path - a house large enough for 5 (including 3 teenagers & almost all their interests) and just the idea of moving brings out a broad stripe of "explain to me Exactly the benefits?"
As for Lego, not only do I have an army surplus kitbag full (over 60 litres - it outgrew that rucksack), but also an inflatable paddling pool to contain them in play. And I source more each year for Christmas stockings. (The lads get food, drink & a toy to slow them down from waking us up. Son who is moving out doesn't yet realise I have plans to have a quiet word with a flatmate. Or is that too much?)0 -

Not a bad transaction in my opinion.
I did try them on (which was a bit of a faff but the staff kindly let me take them all in at once instead of having to keep coming out after trying 3 on) and I was happy with the fit of 7 of them, rejected 2 and then rummaged for another 3 which I didn't try on but also fit really well.
As a larger bust lady, I like bras that come high under my armpits and these fit the bill. The straps are also quite substantial and so are the back straps which all have 3 hooks.
Well made because they're samples and I guess intended to impress.
Some interesting notations on the sample tag like 'bow should be cream, not pink'.0 -

7 Anchor Hocking Fire King (Pyrex?) custard cups with lids for 50p each. I'm the only one in the family who likes braised red cabbage so will be handy for freezing individual portions when I make a big pot of it.
A plastic comb binding machine unused in its box with the starter pack to bind 40 books for £3.
An Original Montgomery check duffle coat for £15, it has no tags but feels unworn. I had a Gloverall duffle coat at school and university and loved it.0 -

Ladies, you might remember my post way back at the beginning of the year saying I had bought a Hobbs dress for £12 ( retail £165) and it was too small so I was slimming into it for a wedding?
Well the wedding was yesterday, and I looked a million dollars lol
Well I didn't, but I had more then one person say I looked lovely and admired the dress
Chuffed to bits I was, carrying off a charity shop buy at the most expensive hotel in NI0 -

As I said up-thread:I think if you buy something - regardless of where it's from, what the original price was and how much you paid for it - and you think it's a bargain, then it is a bargain.Ladies, you might remember my post way back at the beginning of the year saying I had bought a Hobbs dress for £12 ( retail £165) and it was too small so I was slimming into it for a wedding?

Got the biggest scarf I have ever seen this afty... about 1.5 m square so probably more of a wrap-type of thing. By Sandro Gabrielli, with a flowery pattern on a dark green background and is from the 80's according to Pinterest. ( https://goo.gl/images/ShXazj) Perfect colours to go with recently acquired dark green leather jacket. 50p from the community shop.
Also got a pair of bright red tapered leg trousers by M & S for 99p from the St Gemmas shop. Slightly too big but will be cheerful to wear around the house in winter with thick tights underneath. Nearly bought a cast iron trivet thingy with Made in Yorkshire and the name of the foundry round the outside edges. Priced at 75p.....just seen 'em selling for £15 to £25 online. Regretting leaving it now!!!
