The only thing that can get me motivated is Dolly!! I stick my Dolly Parton Cd on full....apologising to the neighbours as i open the wondows to let some fresh air in, obviously they can't hear me as the music's too loud, but the thoughts there lol. Then i grab my hoover and sing at the top of my voice while dancing round with it. Get the polish etc and sing into them inbetween doing my glass etc. While picking kids toys up i make them my dance partners! To make this work there has to be lots of hip swinging....twirling and general mad dancing!

It is suprising how quickly you wizz round the house without even realising! My neghbours think i am absolutely bonkers but hey it works! I am then absolutly shattered i flop with a cuppa a biccy and a magazine with a big smile on my face!

Everyone struggles with this, I am sure!! I like, rubyred and haribo, do all my jobs first thing, if I am off work. I would take ds2 to school, come back, hoover downstairs, we have black lab and she is hairy:eek: , so have to hoover nearly every day. I always put the dishwasher on and then put a load of washing in. I make the beds as we get up and as I am doing breakfast, I have a quick tidy of the front room and then close the door so no one can make it messy again!!

I do all these jobs daily, I work 30 hours a week over five days, so sometimes I am knackered, but I know if I did not keep on top of it, I would be able to concentrate at work and would get over welmed by it.

my and hubby were fighting last night, as I am off over half term with ds2, I don't get paid, as I work for the agency! He just kept saying that my 30 hours at work and me doing everything at home, did only add to up to a full time job of 37 hours. He reckons, he could do all the housework, cooking, foodshopping, washing and ironing in under 7 hours a week:eek: I just burst out laughing and swore at him:mad: what do others think?? how long do we really spend doing all these chores???

I think he's an a*se and next time he has a week off you should make him do all those things and time him.

Took me 37 mins this weekend just to iron 3 shirts :(:o

Hi dorry, if your dh reckons he could do all the housework in 7 hours a week why don't you call his bluff ? You could either NOT do ANYTHING for a week except maybe cook the tea and add up how long just doing this takes you everyday. Or challenge him to do everything and see how long it takes him. Honestly sometimes MEN grrr !
