"he's 'unfriended' me on Facebook" - this can be reported to the authorities.

Sue him in the Small Claims Court.
And take a course in assertiveness...

  • A difficult situation that had to be tackled head on at the time if it was going to be resolved. I believe your only viable option at this stage is to move on and put it down to experience.

I think the "friend" probably kept it for himself or sold it on, particularly as he now wants nothing to do with you.
    Put it down to experience.

A bit late to cry about it now.
Unfriended you on FB - how awful, and after you had donated £700 to him to keep those "likes" coming too.
Grow up and choose your friends (real and virtual) more carefully.
  • People who post these dilemmas are asking for help and advice. Being snarky and rude doesn't help anyone and will push others away from asking for help too. So many people on these forums are unpleasant.

Yes, but the problem with these "dilemmas" is, the op never comes back and answers perfectly legit questions the members ask, to get a fuller picture of the situation.
  • Pay some 'heavies' to go round to his house to 'remind' him.

It will cost you, but will make you feel better. You might even get your £700 back.
