That is my dog too. He suffers chronic separation anxiety to the point where he is ill, both ends. On behalf of all similar dogs, sorry... we often don't know (we do).

I doubt you act like my neighbours, SL. I doubt you imprison your dog in a shed that's 3' x 8', for 23 hours a day or more, and block his view of the outside. I also doubt you threaten your neighbours, as I and others have been threatened. They most certainly know about the effect on everyone else, the RSPCA have been round but declined to prosecute (heaven knows why) and the council have received a dozen noise complaints. Even today, they were actually at home during one set of hours of barking. I really hope your dog isn't barking as long as this one is.

I try to carry on with my life, between those two stresses - the driving lesson today, and withdrew £10 from the baby Happy Wheel. Couldn't concentrate on much else.2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
That sounds like positive news from the hospital KC. What a worrying time for you all. All fingers and toes crossed from here that she continues to improve xx
Not surprised you can't concentrate. Good luck with the driving lesson though, you're making great progress there x1 -
Glad to hear she's made progress KC - not being able to concentrate is completely understandable.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Thank you both. Brother only communicates news in the evening, so no further update yet, but I'm really hoping things improve steadily still. Just being stable is a plus.
This morning we had the first spaceflight group since all the taradiddle about the U3A woman who I let sort of invade my peace and quiet. She's now responded to texts, pulling out of today's meeting, no specific reason but I suspect illness, as catastrophic as my family member's situation but longer term. So I feel very sorry for her on that level, but I'm not one of the ones who can help her, so hard as it is, I'm keeping away.
Spaceflight people: the wife of the leader has volunteered both herself and her husband as drivers-to-sit-by, which is what my instructor recommended I find. My sister has too much on her plate really, so I was at a loss, and this is really, really kind. I want to get a car as soon as possible now!
Spaceflight group was brilliant as per normal - two tech guys couldn't get a laptop to talk to a tv, hurray its not just me 🤣; a history of moon buggies, bookended by Wallace and Gromit on the moon, in A Grand Day Out 🤣; and the only really serious one, an update on India's little moon buggy runabout mission, Chandrayaan-3. The buggy is the cutest ever, tiny: look at this, the buggy is in the centre of the pic:
