It seems to be some peoples sole purpose in life is to make others feel bad.  Their ailments are always worse than ours & they also know what we should to do be cured.  I keep saying I will ignore the calls & then answer AGAIN before I think.  That makes me feel even worse because I have given in AGAIN.
Yes!  After meetings of almost 3 hours, the only way I've been able to get away is to say I feel awful, and I *immediately* get a comment about how ill she is.  Luckily, with this being a recent meetup, there's no question of actual phone calls, not this time, but I do know what you mean.  Thank you so much for chipping in!

Thank you!  I really needed to spell it all out for my peace of mind, and I wondered whether to put in the whole energy sucking/vampiric thing, and decided not.  But you knew exactly where I was coming from :):):)

I love that.  Sometimes I use too many words.  I'm not giggling at this, so much as quietly glowing.  It's brilliant, beanie.

Morning!  And moving on ... washing machine is nearly finished, I'll get it out before I go to the healthy walk; its a nice sunny day here, so that should all work well.

And this is the list I made on Monday of this week, with things I've done, or have decided *not* to do, deleted:
    - get ready for dental hygiene appointment on Thursday
    - clean shopping
    - clean downstairs toilet
    - see to bathroom washbasin, cloggy.
    - get rid of seed compost (coir fibre, unused) on kitchen table
    - weed/prune whatever I have the energy for
    - work on the curtain tape, I'll need to stay still again at some point
    - genealogy  my new project transcribing the letters my dad wrote to my mum when he was over in Canada, trying to find a job.  Not urgent, but gives me a chance to do something that's not housework!
    - polenta is cooked, now to make chips.

9 jobs, only 6 of which are actually necessary, and a few of which will only take 10 minutes, that's good!

Just catching up KC - you've been busy! I hope your sister is feeling better now?

Not entirely sure you can include feta and eggs in your 30 plants a week?! 😂

Trying not to be, but I am, its true 😁

She's over the lurgification, thank you, and testing negative, so she's good :)

Oh rats 🤣🤣🤣 I'd forgotten it was for plants.  I can't remember how the last few days went, I might have just scraped 30, might not.

I've done remarkably little of that list I posted this morning: went to the healthy walk after washing machine had finished already, washed half the shopping, dishwasher tab is being stuffed down the washbasin pipe to try to keep it minimally clear, made the polenta chips.  Genealogy transcribing will be deleted from the list and tidied away.  Going to bring the washing in now, hope its dry.

    Bit by bit.

Staycation completed :) lovely time was had by all, though all of us horrendously tired, we're too old for this 🤣 so today I'm bringing order to chaos in the house, oh, and paying the dentist the £20 I owe them for the supposedly superior way of dental hygiening.  That's a word, I have decreed it so 🤣

ETA - not done the dentist yet, must find a credit card and do that today.  In the meantime, those things like fruitflies that Teapot described?  I've discovered where they come from  :s when I bought some fresh compost earlier in the year, I brought some inside so that I could repot the aloe vera, but I never got round to it.  And it's in plastic bags.  Big ones, but still plastic (old porridge oat bags, from Asda 😁 hundreds and hundreds of them, some of them still alive, so they haven't come from the dead vegetable seedlings that I got rid of a few weeks ago.  It's not done yet - I've vacuumed the most accessible bits and taken the unused compost into the garden, stopped here for a shudder.  🙄😮😝😨😱  well, it means I have to keep going, doesn't it ...
