Hello earthie
yep, the slow and sensible approach to recovery is needs must, I'm afraid - I didn't feel overtired at all on the day that tipped me over into the fatigue, so if I actually *tried* to work hard, I'd shoot myself in the foot. Badly.
I had quite a large lunch, so my afternoon walk was a bit short 🤣 however, I saw three cats 😺😺😺 🐾
I think I'm going to give myself a weekend day today2023: the year I get to buy a car6 -
Has the puss cat gone, KC?3

Hello Al, yes, he went back about 5 weeks ago now 😺🐾 he's very lovely, isn't he!

He's lovely. Will cat sitting be a thing in your future?3

Not outside the family, I'm afraid - I can't trust that I'll be well, basically, the oddest things can tip me over the edge into the chronic fatigue. And that's without pandemicky issues ...
I've been doing a little bit of craft work/DIY work on a window over the weekend, really enjoyed it, its a complete non-essential but that's probably why its so nicePlus I worked on a bit of the garden I very rarely get to: a leftover bucket full of rainwater, as well as an untouched bag of store-bought compost, as well as a black binbag of my own leaf compost being the proof of that 🙄🙄🙄 Basic weeding, which included a couple of brambles 🙄 put all the compost down along with sawdust from the neighbour, and weighted-down cardboard over the lot of it - one day, there will be healthy kale plants there 🌈
Today - a walk in the sun, for sure, and I hope that tonight I can see the Northern Lights, I'd no idea they were in the south of England last night, grrr! I'm also going to do a couple of finance admin jobs:
- log on to my French tax account and confirm that its a commercial lease I hold - accountant has given me the instructions, I just need to follow them to the letter.
- download a few statements - my cc that paid for sofa has gone out of my account, I just need to check all's well there.
- check my other ISAs aren't maturing any time soon, I desperately need to make sure they go onto the best possible rate.
- read the meters.
- clean the windows where I keep plants upstairs, and ready the pluglets for planting. This *has* to be done in February!
- send off an early-March birthday card, so I can use a 2nd class stamp.
- my new sheet has arrived at the collection point, I have a week to collect it. Today might be the day, I'll see, it might be better to be done tomorrow. It has to be after 3pm.2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
Thanks for the tip about the aurora - it looks promising for tonight again, so I've set a reminder for 9pm. I hadn't heard they were expected to put in an appearance last night either.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Yep! But useless, I think I've been winging it all these years - I've managed without an account, and it's come back to bite me. I'm emailing the accounts person for help and instructions 😮

Yep! In fact, transferred a small one out of Newcastle BldgSoc to another where I already have some money, pleased with that. Its gone from 1.7% to 4%.
- read the meters.
Yep! Over 13 days I spent £24.02 on electricity (£1.84 a day) and £51.91 on gas (£3.99 a day): total elec and gas spend is £5.83 a day. Having my niece's cat with me cost me more than £2 a day in extra heating, because I kept the door open so he could go upstairs when he wanted 🤣 and even with that extra expenditure I was freezing!
- clean the windows where I keep plants upstairs, and ready the pluglets for planting. This *has* to be done in February!
Ah, not yet.
- send off an early-March birthday card, so I can use a 2nd class stamp.
Yep!
- my new sheet has arrived at the collection point, I have a week to collect it. Today might be the day, I'll see, it might be better to be done tomorrow. It has to be after 3pm.
- check out some live streams of the Aurora to see if I can bear to get togged up for the cold.
- set out the pluglets and growing medium.
Oh, and I won 50p on the baby Happy Wheel. Next time I win something, I'll bring out some more money - £15. I must check the profit, its really pretty good.2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -
I keep meaning to have a look back at my baby HW earnings too (the temptation to abbreviation to BHW was strong but it might be taking it too far into weird forum jargon! 🤣) and see what they’ve added up to over a year. Do you do BettyFred? That’s my favourite currently - good for the ‘big’ wins.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I started calling it "baby" to distinguish from what Cheery does, I thought they deserved different names 🤣 but yes, as an abbreviation, it might be one step too far 🤣
