That's going well then! RT, interesting that herbs and spices do well like that: I was only counting one portion for *all* the herbs and spices that I eat during the week: turmeric on porridge, mixed herbs and assorted chili and pepper with beans, that sort of thing. It's definitely something to keep an eye on.
Finances today, I brought back 2000 euros from France, I have to say wise. are very quick about it, it will be in my sterling bank account by the end of today.
Also won £75 on the premium bonds, that was good. Baby Happy Wheels aren't wheeling much at the moment 🤣 though a few days ago, I won 2 x £1 sports bets - one lost, but I won 22p on the other 🤣
Only doing very gentle stuff today, the environmental meeting took it out of me, so its just the equivalent of dusting and swiping about with a damp cloth 😎 Reading one of the Outlander novels too.2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
I think the variety of 30 things (is from Tim Spector/Zoe) is more important than an amount, but I also think I heard that a tablespoonful is required for it to count - I can't remember where I heard that from. I find the Zoe podcast very useful/interesting though - all sorts of things are covered and it's very educational.

Thanks for that, madvix - maybe all of mine counts as two then (I have a *lot* of turmeric each day!).
Tim Spector's latest book was on offer at 99p on Amazon, and I bought it there, though I confess I haven't read it yet. It's on our reading list for this new environmental group for next month, so I'll be skating through it, I reckon.
"Doing gentle stuff" today turned out to be sweeping every single hard flooring area in the house, as well as a bit of a swipe at a couple of the rugs. It wasn't supposed to be like that! Doing nothing now except cooking some pasta. V tired 🙄2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -

Oh I hope you didn’t overdo it yesterday Karma!
The book sounds good - have to confess I’ve not read any of his books but I love the Zoe podcast and will listen to him being interviewed on other podcasts too.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning! I'm feeling slightly grumpified today, I probably need to get up and doing, and amongst other stuff I have to write *two* emails to this guy doing the environmental group, about admin things, sure. But being able to spout happily for ten minutes about a parliamentary committee shouldn't need the deluge of compliments and "you're special" coming my way, its starting to get quite unnerving. I'll feel better once I've answered them in a no-nonsense, not-alluding-to-that sort of way.
Otherwise, there's a zoom lecture on genetic genealogy research this afternoon, and tidying my 2nd bedroom is starting to get results, so I'm very happy about that. That will continue!
There's still (light) snow here, which means my facial nerves will get overloaded if I go out, even for a walk, so its an at home day againI think that's about curtain linings.

I don't blame you feeling grumpified if you're having to deal with unwanted attention - not nice at all. Enjoy the lecture this afternoon though!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning! No snow here any more, just wind and rain, huh. Trying to do what I can:
- picked up the admin for the new Eco WhatsApp group locally, as well as another possible connection from there, a nice one this time, though making a local friend is weirdly unfamiliar to me 🙄🤡🦕🐣
- washing the covers of the new sofa! I forgot I could do this 🙄 but they're, y'know, washable, and they weren't protected from divvel knows what on their way to me.
- baby HW did its thing, 42p won 🤣
- seed trays are **finally* set up and ready to plant, I'll do that today.
- seeing to the post. I can do that.
- I've checked out opticians in my town centre - there's a lot! The local optometrist seems to have the most up to date equipment, which I probably need, my eyes have ... different focal lengths ... and I don't have much depth perception, which is kind of helpful for driving. Might try to phone them today, and at least talk it through, see if they do NHS sight tests.
- reading through my big "to do" list on my phone. I could get to grips with cornmeal, or a second experiment with quinoa. That would help expand the list of food items too. Lunchtime frozen veg (sweetcorn and broccoli) already defrosting.2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
