i would be very surprised if you have offended him. I'm suspecting he had not thought things through. All to be revealed.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -

You know what, I'm going to withdraw from conversation with him - I'd already told him that emails were the only thing I could do, because of my chronic fatigue. And it's true - I haven't been able to concentrate today, stressing about this. I've no wish to discuss this stuff with a guy who is 99% certain to be of diametrically opposed opinions from me. I talked with sis about it - she said something really simple, if it stresses you that much, don't do it. And it's not a job or anything. I've made a stand and now I need to pull back for the sake of my health.
After I made that decision, I was able to do some more cleaning and work on the genealogy for a while. That felt good.2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -

Definitely sounds like the right decision - something like that would stress me out for all the same reasons and I don’t have the fatigue to deal with. Bet you’re feeling a huge sense of relief at making the decision.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

You've had your say, if he is too stupid to "get it" that is his problem. Just let him get on with it, which is easier said than done I know.

Thank you so much, lovely people. Everybody was so supportive of me challenging him in the first place, it never occurred to me that I could decide to step away, but I can. I'm very, very grateful for your continuing support, even though I've chosen a different path. I'll write it now, before I go out to look at the eclipse 🌓 get it over with.
Today will proceed at a proper pace after that. Such a relief!2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
A good decision, especially as it brings you relief and peace. Hugs.

Well done KC, that's deff the best decision, no need to add stress to your self, as the saying goes, not your circus, not your monkeys2

Thanks! And El, I *do* know that saying, but I'd forgotten it - fantastic! If I ever got a tattoo, it would be that 🤣🤣🤣
Eclipse was rained off down here, but that did actually give me a double rainbow, briefly 🌈🌈
Very simple tidying is going on downstairs - partly clearing things so that its easy to clean when the boiler is serviced, partly that I have a storecupboard Asda delivery tomorrow. Two other kitchen jobs today: dry roasting eggshells for the garden (so they don't attract rats) and the coconut loaf cake, I could do with a cake
