Off to google mossie blinds gallygirl.
Sorry - mosquito blinds. Like this. We have them on every window and the front door, they keep the little !!!!ers out but also stop you seeing how dirty the glass is :D.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Love my Yaktrax, I wouldn't stir outside in the snow and ice without them. With my hands being weak and painful I find them difficult to put on and off so I now keep them on a spare pair of walking boots all Winter.

Pleased that you have managed to sort your travel arrangements I do like all the loose ends tied up:D
Maddie, thats a good tip about the boots, thanks for that.

We were a bit shocked at how comparatively late we were in getting the bookings done, but lesson learned :) and its fine - boarding is from midday, I think, so plenty of time to get a taxi 13 miles.

You are all disgusting. My living room windows are sparklingly clean :A.That's because they only go onto the sun room :D. We won't talk about the windows anywhere else in the house :o:eek:;). I asked Mr GG to help me last year and he ranted about me being obsessed with cleaning. I replied I didn't think cleaning windows twice a year was excessive :rotfl:. I have to recommend mossie blinds though, they stop you noticing the dirt :D.
Yep, utterly disgusting :D I love it :D

I also love my mossie blinds - I have 3, 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs. There are so many insects crawling over the outside of this house (the kind that used to come down from the broken loft hatch!, plus bees and other assorted lovelies) they're really helpful. Great through draft at night from the upstairs ones, and airing the very small bathroom too.

My windows are grim but I do wipe the dog slobber off the patio doors:p
    How's your back? Better I hope .
Have a lovely Easter Karma xx
Thank you PP! Back is still a bit tricky, I'm afraid, but mostly when sitting down or getting up. I'm doing a lot of exercise movements instead of sitting down - gradual strengthening is the only way forward, I think. You know those sideways steps that footballers seem to do loads of? Seems to strengthen front and back at the same time! Others too, of course.

More sleep is lovely as well. I'm not doing a to-do list today, its Easter Saturday after all, but I'm home today because I'm out tomorrow, so a few jobs might get done :)

Ooh! I've visited as a tourist once, though I don't think we'll be visiting anywhere except the hotel restaurant, but I really, really like Durham :)

Yep, I want to buy things that are either useful, all sorts - plenty of bits and bobs I need to buy.

Back is doing better today, and I've pootled usefully: yet more scanning, I christened the loppers I bought a while ago, on the ivy thats threatening to strangle the quince, constructed a bit more bonfire ready for next week, and tidied ferociously :D

I had a weird-but-fantastic morning out yesterday. I walked around the footpaths of the perimeter of my local airport - I have a plan for the novel :p I was *really* close to the incoming planes, though, and I had my camera with me, and I truly expected to find a SWAT team waiting for me round the next bend :p

But all was well, and I got some great ideas for how to do what I want to do :j

Today, more ferocious tidying, clearing the porch behind the front door, that's been stuck for **ages**. Supermarket delivery coming tomorrow, I'm determined to have it clear by then. It doesn't sound very "Eastery", I know, but my Easters never have been. And so it goes ...
