I know ... there are a million little jobs that need doing, and I really *need* to do them. The list made me start, so:
1. wm finished, coat and a couple of T shirts are out on the line for a couple of hours.
2. today's weeding done, sort of, though it was mostly about the next item:
3. using the garden fork to gather up the dried weeds and grass, 2 bucketsfuls, that took a while!
4. damn, cannellini beans *still* cooking, they're taking an age. But they *are* cooking
5. got the £20 of vouchers from pinecone for Amazon. Much, much simpler process than getting the JL vouchers last year, sadly.
6. rejigged Amazon basket - 32G flash drive, bestselling ant spray, and a kilo of whole cashews, £21.87Butter beans had doubled in price per kilo, so they can go hang.
I do still need to water plants and seedlings, and I might do something while I'm sitting (survey, naming documents etc) but I'm pleased with that, that rescued the work I needed to do at very little cost to me
ETA - a new item on the list, no. 13 - try on the sandals that arrived on Monday!

Update this morning, using yesterday's list numbers
2. not quite weeding, but the 3 tree seedlings growing in the patio and the little borders have been covered with plastic bags and sprayed with weedkiller, after which I've tied the bags on, to stop wildlife coming in touch with the deadly stuff.
7. rang bro, all good there.
8. nearly all downloads placed now.
10. used craft knife (they're called "scissors" on my planet) to cut out the leather daisies from the shoes that died. Rubbish cleaned up straight away, woo hoo.
12. teensy bit of cleaning done. Useful numbers of insects relocated
13. tried on the new sandals, wearing pop sox and on a carpet as requested. My side toes are too bigthey're hanging over the sole, which will be agony to walk in (the voice of experience, that). So now I have to investigate how to send them back
and a size larger is needed.

I hate having to send things back - I am increasingly rejecting the 'convenience' of online shopping.1kg of cashews would just be too tempting for me - I'd be a weeble before the end of the week!2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8564

Urgh to sending things back 🙄 I had one recent experience that was ridiculous - all go to this website and print this thing - and another whi h was great, I just had to click a link in the email and it generated a QR code, which the post office just scanned and printed a label for me. I was impressed they could do it in such a teensy rural Post office! Still a bit of a nuisance though. I did just order 2 pairs of jeans, but made sure I can take them back to a shop in the local town for nothing - easier than trying to parcel them up. Good luck! Mr Cheery often refers to me being on an Everlasting Sandal Quest but I don't think I'm the only one... 🙄😂4

Magnificent.
Cheery, your mention of popping to the next town has got me thinking .... once I'm back from this little holiday in Somerset, as long as everything hasn't suddenly locked down again, I'm going to work on buying a bike, at least - my brother suggested an electric car ... without the faff around petrol, I might look at that. I'm a bit lost on it. I couldn't use an electric bike outside of the town except in a huge emergency. The tiniest available electric car might be useful2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -

9. finances: set up the regular transfers. Principality, and the new Virgin one. Should go smoother this time.
11. Uh oh ... I *still* have unwashed shopping hanging around in my porch.
12. And I have to do some cleaning before I can have a workman come near my house to measure windows.
- the 20 minutes weeding, desperately needed.
- sort out RM pickup for sandals return, as RT mentioned.
- sister is ringing this afternoon.
- I need to make something - I have lots of flour to use up, of course, but also dessicated coconut and sultanas. I have a stash of half a dozen recipes now that I can use, will do that while lunch is doing. First, the RM pickup.2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
I need to update ongoing efforts ... returning the sandals won't work as per the RM collection, there's a free returns label, and that system is in any case the one that I ended up double paying on, when I sent a pressie for the recent newborn.
I can't even order replacements with that store - it was an end of line, they're gone, the only other option reasonably styled and priced was too small. So I'll return with a refund request.
Success at Mountain Warehouse! Sandals exactly like my Primark oneswith velcro straps. Plus what are nowadays called sliders, cool looking completely flat, for the house (I'm wearing my sister's cast offs with a two inch heel at the moment, I need better than that), and a multipack of pink fleeces, everything I have that isn't heavyweight is a hoodie. Not useful all the time. Free delivery because I caught up on some shopping, total price £60, outside the sale it would have cost £120. Very pleased. I'm off for a walk now to get some fresh air.

More progress, after a walk and a chat. Post Office in town opens at 8.30 tomorrow, when fairly few people should be about. Cancer Research CS opens at 9 (9.15 to be sure, the lady said
) they don't sound much cop for the books, but there's other things, and they take rags! Very pleased, and I can be out of there by 9.30, which is good.
Also booked a ticket for the National Gardens Scheme for Monday, the house is 15 minutes from me, garden is huge, has a geodesic dome, and slopes down to a private patch on the village pond. Very select! Just going to take some time now to do some stuff from the list of two days' ago.

Ooh, that sounds like an excellent trip out to the garden KC! Oddly enough I picked up a brochure for our local open gardens recently - I must have a proper look and make some plans!2
