Herbs are so expensive to buy in the sm; dried, bunched or little pots - it's great having some to just snip when you need them

Thanks for that Karma - I looked at the new rules, but not being terribly au fait with the old ones, couldn't see what the changes were (not terribly helpful MSE people).
That's a good MSE list! (How long will this last I wonder?)Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I just read the new rules too, and the link to the Moneysaving Arms post, and it seems they're not re-opening that because it was taking so much time to moderate and dealing with complaints etc, which is fair enough. I do hope they'll be lenient with those of us chatting on our own diaries about life as we work our way to debt and mortgage freedom (I wouldn't imagine they'd have time to read individual posts!
I suspect they're reserving the right to just delete controversial time consuming stuff without warning or getting into arguments). So hopefully we'll be ok! (I hope!)

I hope so too. I like to mix money saving/mortgage repayments with general stuff to do. To be honest I wouldn't get anything done without my diary... I only do things most days as I'd feel silly saying I didn't achieve anything on here2025 decluttering: 3,550🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Ah, that makes more sense Cheery. I do wonder if the ability to upload photos direct is also a consideration in terms of space (and thus upkeep costs) - I'll make sure I don't add any more cat pics!
You're right, hopefully they're not too bothered about us over here - we're a well-behaved bunch anyway (has anyone ever seen a moderator?).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Moderators are like ninjas - they move so quietly you never directly notice them, just feel a frisson as they glide past...!

Thank you all! Cheery, looks like we should be okay then - I never dared post on Moneysaving Arms in any case. I'm like Jess and the rest, I just want to/ need to mix in some personal to-do lists with the mse stuff - and yes, posting it on here is sometimes the only way I can make myself do something
of course sometimes even that doesn't work, eg getting the new computer running. I *might* do it today, I'm trying to stick to days -off though, so we'll see waht it feels like, I guess
Finally got out for a walk with my sister yesterday - with all the various appointments each of us, its taken a whole week. Even in semi-lockdown. Weird.Today, definitely going to *try* to have most of the day "off" - ordinary household stuff (wm and dw etc) and something easy to do. No idea what, yetbut a littler walk would be good, if the pavements aren't too crowded.
2023: the year I get to buy a car7 -
Good Morning! So, I really did manage to take almost all the weekend off, which was brilliant - even had a cuppa tea in bed at one stage, woo hoo. But I *did* have to spend some time yesterday clearing out the grunge of the patio underneath the kitchen window. It's on the list of jobs to do, so I didn't mind too much, but it's shot up the list of essentials, to number one, basically. Those enormous 'piders that come in during autumn have found another way in. Stands to reason, really, the same lazy builders who did the mortar on my weatherward wall also did the wall at the back, which means that nothing underneath the damp course has been done. Massive great holes, sigh .... and the old garden tap, which now connects to nothing at all, is like a little funnel for anything to get in, so that has to be blocked too. Luckily, my new Wickes delivery will sort all that 🙂 though I also have some old filler that I'll experiment with. There goes my day!I did finally buy the new hard disc drive yesterday - a terabyte, I don't need more. Also some more powdered ashwagandha, for the porridge. Wednesday's deliveries are looking interesting - the Wickes replacement mortar, the Amazon HDD and I also reschedule a Tuesday Sainsbo click and collect to a Wednesday delivery, as well as upping the amounts a little bit.Today: mortar repair!

My day is dog walking, painting and filling holes with wood filler and sanding stuff down. Don't we know how to live the high life!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
