Well done on the wardrobe sorting Karma... it's one of those jobs that I just find so draining (hate trying on clothes at the best of times!). It's nice to get the space back thoughMortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Yes, well done with the sorting, and the bank admin! So tedious going through the calling, resetting passwords etc, but SO satisfying to have it done and out of your head!
Hope your weather is better than ours is forecast to be today...3 -
Thanks both! Yes, incredibly tedious jobs - and I sort of feel that everyone else did it at the beginning of lockdown, when I was sorting belongings from the cruise, and trying to get back my dying broadband. No matter! I've been working on a list for the rest of this year/ the autumn and winter coming up - doing it on my phone, and thankfully the most recent upgrade means I could send it elsewhere to keep a tight eye on it. Erm, there are nine categories
hobbies, diy work, craft work, fitness and self care, finances, shopping research (mostly transport: a bike, a car, electric, what?), cookery, readying existing tech, and garden. Except for shopping research, there's a lot in each category - everything from listening to zoom talks to painting the fence, its extremely eclectic
Today - ordinary pruning, I think, the green bin is due to go next Tuesday, there's space that can be filled, for sure. Plus check one of the finance things I did yesterday actually works, I couldn't face doing it at the time.I've also been researching posh takeaways, fit for a birthday - surprising choice of options, I'm pleased.2023: the year I get to buy a car7 -
My efforts yesterday worked well - finished Newcastle BS updating - I'm going to just transfer the money internally, to a new ISA - and guess what, you can't do that online, you have to phone them. So thats for next week.Garden work went really well - I didn't pressure myself to do it, but I *wanted* to do it, the brambles took another hit, so did the overgrown heather, and I chatted to 3 neighbours, including one with a dog whose arthritis is so bad, she looks like she's skating on ice when she's walking on the pavement, poor little thing. Anyway, bin is a lot fuller, and there's some digging I can do today. But no pressure - I really need to think about "days off".2023: the year I get to buy a car7

Sounds like you had a very productive day! Agree about the need to have days off - especially at the moment when we’re not able to get out and away from the jobs as easily.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I kind of broke my vow to have a day off, but it wasn't too strenuous, at least. I was cleaning flowerpots from the time earlier this year that I tried to grow some older seeds - none took, but I didn't clear everything away
and *that* is why my house is in such a state, because I only do 95% of a project, and I get all the 5% s hanging over. Still, thats a dozen flowerpots cleaned. Of course, while I was doing it, I also transferred updated info to the new computer, I think thats done, but I'm going to check. Very pleased with that!

And today, 4 things on the list that are *essential*:- pay in money to cheque account to keep within the rules for rewards- set up regular saver from the account that I use for that (should be v quick)- zoom talk this afternoon, on travel - I need to get some makeup on- phone bro.- finish filling up the green bin.I'm *fairly* sure this lot can all be done today. KC - you are definately not the only one to have 5%'s!!!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 10 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 15 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!4 -
Definitely not (and I suspect I have several projects where I've only DONE 5%
)
Love the idea of slowly ticking off all the 5%s though - how satisfying would that be??5
