Still 25 degs, rain never turned up, I do not normally do too hot. I think last time but one was may bank holiday 1963 & last time was Malta 1986 or 87. If only it would melt the fat it may be worth it!

We have had no rain, no thunder, no lightning. It is forecast but it feels altogether fresher this morning. The garden desperately needs it. It has been over 30 every day and we have stayed indoors as much as possible. No appetite in the heat and no energy to prepare anything. Got lots of fans and the cat has taken to sleeping in front of one!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Raining here and the poor guys doing the garden room roof won't come inside! Maybe it's a relief working in the rain but it's tipping it down!Choose kind3

Still no sign of the promised rain here. The temp is "only" 26 degs so down on yesterdays noon of 30, but it is greatly helped by a slight breeze. I don't think I have ever posted about the weather until this week!

Good to hear from you guys. I'm using my phone to type right now, so excuse bleurghness. Very overcast here, still hot but less so, and we've even had 2 short showers. No deluge, no relief either. Rumbles of thunder every so often mean I don't want to switch my computer on, or be outside for too long, so I'm stuck with reading or tidying up. Oh the hardship! Ha! I got my latest pic for the acorn project this morning, can't do that either. This tidying up had better be good2023: the year I get to buy a car5

I'm gumpily sitting inside today as it keeps switching between brilliant sunshine and ark-like deluges! The grass is happy for the water & I mangaged to get outside & garden over my lunch break!
Have to teach another member of staff how to use a bit of software. Sometimes that 'transferable skills' subset is a hindrance to getting real work done - lol . This time I was told that IT blokes treat me like a dummy... I bit my tongue! - we've been using the software for 5 years SIGH

Several years ago at work, I was told by the IT guy that I was an 'honorary geek'. I wore my smug face for weeks! And it still makes me smirk!
