Well done with the list KC!
Thought you'd laugh at the thought of OH melting in this heat! Dripping is more like it - he's holed up inside our cool cave of a living room, while I'm outside with a sunhat, sunscreen, and sleeveless top, bathing in the warmth (in the shade of course) - it finally feels like proper summer to me (minus the stiffling humidity of my youth😁).
Just had an less than exemplary interaction with a [insert inappropriate curse] courier who came to pick up my C-19 home test (for the Imperial College study don't worry not symptoms). Once I'm a little less livid about it all, will pop back on and tell you the story! I think the filters on the forum might blank out most of what I have to say at the moment!!! 🤣🤣🤣4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 10 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 15 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!5 -
Thanks beanie!RT!!! Honestly, some people have no sense, even at the back of beyond you're faced weth that, so sorry to hear it! Yes, I'd be very interested to know what happenedI'm holed up in the living room myself, though managing not to drip
- your poor OH! I went outside to give a bit of a splash to some plants, before proper watering this evening, and it was like a furnace, came back inside sharpish. Very grey here now, though, I'll check the Met Office.
Just came back on to say, though I haven't finished the Net Worth thingy, I've done enough to roughly tell how much I spent between January, when I last did this exercise, and today. The answer is £3108, which in a way I'm *really* surprised at, because it includes the Camaries cruiseI feel better about things now
But I still need to check on the pensions and the ISAs, just for the sake of completeness. As a reward, though, I might go check if its cool enough to walk round the block.

I need to check that £3108 figure, I'm really not sure - my basic budget isn't much less than that. But I'm going to really need to work on my new computer, this one is switching itself off as badly as ever. Hope everyone has a good evening xxx

At the moment, today is definitely a kind of tidying up/ lolling about kind of day. I don't go out too much on the weekend, especially now more people are at work during the week and want to go out at the weekend, going out during the weekdays is more secure. The tidying is based in my kitchen and is also extending to my craft supplies, which are still stuck in my bedroom, but not for long! And I was looking through easy sewing patterns on the JL website too, I'll just get one, of course, once I've learned how to thread the machine
I have a lot of fabric, and I'm very tempted to make a nightie - I only have two, currently, and one's made of flanelette! Plenty of rather fun stuff to do

Fun stuff always good. Enjoy your weekend of pottering and musing5

Ooh, good luck with your nightie making! I keep meaning to do the same thing... I had a brief foray into knicker-making at the new year
great fun. I used this pattern
https://stitchuponatime.com/product/scrundlewear-2-0-womens-underwear/
and some organic bamboo fabric (I think). Mine seemed to get more voluminous the more I made though - the final pair were pretty much up to my waist, and I figured I'd best stop there

Thanks teapotCheery, that looks a brilliant website - and I love those knickers. I currently wouldn't trust myself to make anything that needs to be fitted, but I think a nightie wouldn't be beyond me
Sadly, I want to use JL, though, because I have £45 in JL vouchers from Pinecone - I also need a salt grinder, the one I had is about 30 years old, and its died. I was looking at gardening gloves on JL as well, but they're twice the price as normal places, and even though its vouchers, its vouchers awarded for survey work, not just freebies, so I'm not doing that.
Today, its clearing soil and seed compost from the kitchen table so I can start this craft stuffAnd I've found the paperwork related to the cash ISA transfer I did last year - I don't even think I've registered online. I did some weed clearing yesterday, and that could be continued, for sure - even under lockdown, my big weeds grow faster than I can get rid of them. Plenty to do! But I definitely want to bring the craft stuff down, that will be fun

You could go the quick route for your JL vouchers and use their nightwear offers page onlineSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread
My new diary is here4 -
Thanks SL! Don't know when that page went up but *everything* is now out of stock, even the things that say they're in stock (or at least, out of stock online, and I'm not going to a JL in person). Just didn't occur to me, gulp. I'll spend some time looking at what's under the sale banner right now, I think

Just had another look at that nightwear page - the only one thats a useable nightie is *way* too short, sadly - I'm thinking of stumbling about in a cruise cabin, because we'll hopefully do our Iceland/Greenland trip one day. Nice to look at them though
