Sunny here too, but freezing!

Tried to take the laptop out to the garden, but came in 30 seconds later - the wind is sharp & cold!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! me too beanie - I picked off a couple of recipes I had never made recently and cooked both hot cross buns and chocolate brownies for the first time and I actually followed the recipe - then last week I cooked both again with my small adaptations and the feedback was that they were better - and no scales were used in the making of the buns (and the less sugar, use of chilli and cashew nuts went down well with the brownies too!)beanielou said:I never use scales.A good old tablespoon all the way & I guess butter.Luckily it works for me.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I finished the year at £2880.99/£3000 or 96.03% of my annual spend so I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026

Hi both! The wind is just as cold today, RT - I was actually out for my walk at 7.30, and I was very glad I had a scarf! SL, I envy you your lack of need for scales - I'm going to use my Amazon vouchers from SB to get some, though after the lockdown.Today, bit of washing, possibly some of the cleaning I keep scolding myself to do
though actually my cleaning priority should be my microwave - there was unpleasantness going on this morning, oops. Not sure what else yet, that won't take all day, even for me

Brr - yes it is nippy out there - I tried again this afternoon, bundled in a sweater but my fingers got numb so I had come in and wrap them round a cuppa!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Turned out that what I did yesterday was ... go back to bed
I just couldn't do anything. Went for another little walk, in a different direction, put the washing machine on (but not the dishwasher, yikes) and that was it really. I took an OTC sleepeeze pill, which also helped, so I feel more human today. I do tend to think too long term sometimes, so immediate needs are forgotten, so I'm going to have a cup of coffee, fill the dishwasher, and think local, so to speak

Hope you made it to two cups of coffee...

Just the one, apple, thanks
I always fancy two, but it rarely works that way. Had a long chat with bruv, he chauffeurs his daughter in law on food shops, and has learned how to stay in contact with the others with zoom. I got out into the garden, did bits and bobs - cut grass, pulled weeds, chopped a bit of ivy, I'm trying to do things that I need different postures for.Awake horrendously early this morning - mustn't eat cake, even hm cake, after midday, just like cow's cheese, unfortunately. Not a good result! Today, hmmm, definitely more time in the garden, and some cleaning in the house - I want to set a routine of doing two physical things each day, not just one. As well as a walk round the block. Along with a few surveys etc, and some ancestry use, that'll do me.2023: the year I get to buy a car1 -
Quick! You've still got almost 3 hours left to eat cake! Get your priorities right...!

So true about changing postures KC - I tend to shift to a new place with the laptop every hour and do a 'lap' in the house and garden to keep moving and not stiffen up - this involves an up and down the stairs stint!
Phone meetings that don't need me looking at data are had with headset in, walking up and down the garden! (The farmhand now understands that even though I'm talking I'm not after him for anything so stays put in the barn!)4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!!
