I used all the time today, I'm satisfied. Went to the U3A Environment group - a talk from an external guy, from UK Power Networks. Very very interesting and detailed.
Used the day to go to Sainsbo, restocked my pesto stashthen took a very long lunch and did my emails, 3 of them. Really feels good, one was stressful but has been very well received, very kindly. Kitchen is in chaos, and I just don't care right now :rotfl: I've had some leftovers from lunch, and now I'm just going to have some porridge, with added seeds, peanut butter and ashwagandha

I imagine the UKPN talk was very interesting (funnily enough Mr TMV had them in for a meeting at work yesterday - they get around!).

They do, don't they, madvix
Oh, and the porridge had cocoa powder in too, very yum
Feeling lots better today, except a whatsapp message from my sister to say she'd arrived at her hotel in America didn't arriveMy world clock says its only 4.30am where she is, so I can't really text her ...
Anyway, now I have my "notes" facility back up on my phone, I've finally got a list of what needs doing where in the house. Feels good. One of the very easiest, and fairly apt, is sorting the paperwork for France into years - its all in plastic envelopes in a crate, so its easy but does need doing, 16 years of it, yikes, very bitty at the mo. I've done 3 years already, it took about ten minutes :rotfl: So, the list:
- dw is on.
- a lot of laundry can be tidied away.
- a lot of looong pieces of cherry laurel can be tidied into the green bin.
- French paperwork.
- faff about with one of the emails I sent yesterday, the photos got stripped out.
- oh, here's the value of my notes facility: I need to check on an invoice from the French management company. They've invoiced me two euros :rotfl: but when I checked at the end of last month, I was in credit with them by nearly 200 euros2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
Loving the idea of porridge for dinner:T. DH was out until late yesterday so I only had myself to bother about food-wise:j. Had a lot on my mind this past few days, my mood lurching from euphoric to a state of deep anxiety all tied up with one thing that's happened:o
Having my cooking routine disturbed because of DH being out and my brain being all over the place I forgot to eat anything all day:eek:. Suddenly feeling ravenous about 9 last night I had a huge bowl of maple and pecan granola. There was a smidgen of cream left in the fridge so I added that to the milk. Brilliant 'dinner', absolutely yummy:j:j:j5 -
Thanks FS! Sorry life is stressful for you at the mo, you *know* I understand that ... still, porridge with cream makes up for a few things!I've been to one of my Egyptology towns today, it has a John Lewis, I wanted hands-on with a few vacuum cleaners I'd made a note of, before I actually bought one. So, I bought one: JL's own, 700W, 2 year guarantee, bagless, the cylinder type I need (because it has a hose and an extension tube - getting to the furthest reaches of the stairwell, spiders really like to congregate there in season). £90!!! Free delivery!!! I'm very chuffed. Then I hopped (aka staggered) to their Lidl - feta, tins of cannellini beans, tomato puree and microwave rice (for emergencies) are *so* much cheaper than Sainsbo. I haven't checked how much I saved, it was very cold out, and I was out a long time, so I'm tired, but it was really good.Boy, these forum changes are strange. And I suppose we can't choose a previous version like we used to because its a different host/ server/ whatever. I really hope they fix the glitches quickly.2023: the year I get to buy a car4
