Not windy, just a bit grim on the weather front, I feel a bit grim myself - though the puppy that wound its lead around my legs was a lot of fun :j
I'm just going to work out some potential dates for one of the caravan holidays and then phone sis, and we'll see.
Plus another cuppa tea :coffee:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Missed that one, but there have been a number of random posts in the middle of a number of diaries that just don't fitSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread
My new diary is here0 -
We are fairly fortunate in that we don't have to do any tax returns and I try and keep it like that :T
I think the weather means that the domestic tasks are the way to go this weekend. It was supposed to be better here today, but although the wind has dropped it is now piddling down with rain0 -

Much the best way, not to have any need to do tax returns - its yet another way my French apartment has blighted my finances, grrr. I'll be so happy when I sell it. I've just been checking out whether it will create problems for me in my first full year of state pension (2021-2022!) and I'll still be under the personal allowance - I might be even if I actually started drawing on those little pension pots, actually, though an annuity would be very unlikely for me. No research done on that at all yet.I think the weather means that the domestic tasks are the way to go this weekend. I came online to check out the details of the caravan my sister and I will be renting, but she's already done the heavy lifting for me, so I can faff about for 20 minutes - will definitely be doing a bit of admin and a bit of tidying before lolling about for the rest of the day2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Oh bu****r. Miscommunication.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Saving time by doing our own booking on our own computer, but I'm not sure the stress is worth the time-saving.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Right, at least they're booked, both in Kent
one is near Dover, the other on the north coast, about £35 each per holiday for the entire thing. Well worth doing in the end
Now to go collect part of my Next order (half price linen trousers, though I think its the size thats too big for me. The ones I think are right haven't come in yet). Plus checking toothpaste from the £shop - Sainsbo might actually be cheaper, and I need to place an order soon anyway. Gives purpose to pootling about2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Your Sun holiday caravans sound brilliant, KC:j. I really must check this out for DH and I. Worth buying The Sun for such bargain holidays:rotfl:
Is it just caravans or do they offer chalets/apartments/cottages too? Shows how green (as in clueless:o) I am, Very late to the idea of Sun Holidays or any type of holidays for that matter. Seems ages since DH and I actually spent a week away that didn't involve staying at the homes of family members or friends. Always nice to do that of course but we feel duty bound to return the favour and some summers I never seem to be free of washing bedding and providing meals:(0 -
I read that as you going to one caravan and your sister going to the other at the same time!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Now that I've got my feet under the table, so to speak, I've realised you don't currently have to even buy it! Thanks to Essex Boy on here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6080940/sun-holidays-from-15pp-january-2020-codewords if you use the codes at the beginning of the thread, you could book something tomorrow, if you get to grips with how confusing it all is - very bad layout on the charges, but if you use the codes listed on the thread above, at least you can see how much they're charging you if you *do* buy.

I've done my errands: collected the little Next delivery, bought some toothpaste (same price as Sainsbo per 100g, but thats okay), checked out some nighties - M&S too expensive, of course, and though £land was only a fiver, I didn't much like them
I hate to say it when people are finding it so windy, but the sun today felt spring-like, rather than a winter's day :eek:2023: the year I get to buy a car0
