Today ... I need to phone bruv, and I need to spend whatever physical energy I have getting green waste into the bin, it's empty this week for boring but real reasons :):):) that's all the energy I've got. Pleased to be doing that, though.
Mega successful on these two :j:j:j

I had a list to work through with my brother (because a lot of the admin was started by my sister) and the green bin is almost entirely filled! One more bucketful of grass already cut to go in, then thats that. I tried to get the most bang for my energy bucks: cutting big branches of things. Neighbour saw me cutting leylandii branches with my long handled secateurs and came over with his petrol driven hedge trimmer :rotfl: it really did take him just 5 minutes. That's a really, really successful day! No weeding done at all, but a lot of weeds are off the premises :)

lovely neighbour. What a nice chap
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

It makes such a difference, when I couldn't work in the garden after surgery, the guy who cut the grass etc had a petrol strimmer and mower and cut my grass in five minutes where it takes me about half an hour. He cut back bushes with an electric trimmer too which again made short work of it. Helpful neighbours are a blessing

Thanks all! Yep, this guy in particular is the neighbourhood stalwart - very lucky to have him around.

Having a slight heart attack this morning as my computer didn't want to log on to my normal profile. Why? Dunno - I kept restarting, and eventually pressed the "tidy up this computer" button, and the next restart did it. I'll make sure recent amendments are backed up on the HDD.

Huge supermarket shop arriving this afternoon - I had a voucher for £12 off for a shop of over £80. Then it told me I'd found £10 savings via multibuys - and I just kept going, so even though the delivery charge was only £1.50, its now free because I spent over £100 :eek: it was the extra dishwasher tabs that tipped me over the edge, honest, guv :p

Tidying inside the house this morning, as opposed to outside for the green bin, so that that amount of shopping can fit inside :rotfl:

I read that last bit as emptying the green bin so the shopping can be delivered there - is it Hermes?:o:rotfl: Then I re-read it. That is one lot of shopping KC!!

I could have phrased that better, couldn't I :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: the shopping is all storecupboard stuff in a monthly shop. Thats a lot of pesto, a lot of gluten free pasta, a lot of feta cheese, and I may have bought 500g of ground almonds - I love the gf cake my sister makes with ground almonds, I really want to give it a go. Lots of teabags in there too. It just adds up :o

Beanie - its Sainsbo, I only use them because they keep giving me sturdy vouchers like that. The spend isn't usually so high - its usually £40 - £60, but on a one off, I don't mind. It makes them cheaper than Asda - and Asda never seem to have a month's supply of pasta, which is a real pain, as I need another shop then. I don't honestly know why they keep giving me the discount - I did one shop without one recently, and then went to Asda, I think their spending algorithm must pick up on stuff like that.

I just did half an hour of ordinary weeding - there's *so* much grass in the heather thats by the house, I think I might have to cut it right back.

Shopping isn't all away yet :o I'm doing my cleaning thing.
