Just been tidying up while working through the last of an SB "watch this" - no, I won't, but I'll gladly click on it for money :):):) - and I was just about to close down and do 30 mins in the garden, when my sister forwarded me an email from the auctioneer - £77 each, woo hoo! Not such appalling bloodsuckers after all :D

It was, beanie, absolutely. There's a *lot* of money sloshing about for things like this, collectibles really; the second set of books sold was a set of four James Bond books - I kid you not, they went for £500.

In the meantime, I've been out digging again, and I've joined up two previously cleared areas. I'll get some water on there tomorrow, then put some mulch down.

What are you going to plant in your cleared areas KC? - my garden is stuffed because I always stick more in, rather than mulching (except the veg beds, which need lots of repeat weeding as a result!). It's a great time to pick up bargains at the garden centres and in SMs as the over-bought stock needs to be cleared, including perennial seeds that last for years!

That's a really good question! There's another salad burnet that self seeded into an old windowsill box, I'll put that by it's sister :) There are two mint plants - I know, I know, but this is an isolated triangle between the patio and my fence (there's a six foot stack of planks on the neighbour's side). There's a space near the rhubarb where my lovely scabious can go, it really needs to get into the ground. Further down the garden, near where I put the thyme in, there's space for 3 perennials: two of those spaces are in a sort of "bed" together - I think that will be my kale plantation for a few years :) the other one, maybe another lemon balm, not sure there. There are other spaces (shaded, confused) but getting those done will be wonderful. Oh there's a couple of spreading mints I have, I'm not sure what to do with those. The shaded border, or the shaded area, might be really good for those. It *has* to be low maintenance! Still lots of weeding to do. I'm up very early - couldn't sleep after 4.30, so maybe some final location sorting could be done this morning, before the sun comes round, and then I could plant them later on today.

It's a work day today, I occupied my time at 5am by making a list

Good news about the book sale.

As I've been stuck at home recently, one of the things I did was to go through our bookshelves, and I've got a small pile that can leave the house. They will go to the charity shop.
