Thanks Watty
Erm, I'm sure there's something distinctive and non-municipal that's less expensive than that :rotfl: but I do understand, yes, it always feels good to have something special. The red flowers on a bergamot, for instance, are utterly spectacular, really out of this world.
I had a bit of fun today setting out a "spectacular" at the airport for my protagonist - and right where the KFC, the MaccyD and the M&S Foodstore have been built - right there, is a huge pond filled with blossoming water lilies, and a heron was standing amongst them. Now that really *was* spectacular, very special.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning! I still haven't filled out the S&S isa form - but I want it to reach the company on Monday, so that will be the first task.
Then I have to pay attention to the raspberry cuttings that apple kindly sent me. Thing is, I thought there were bramble weeds near them, wild blackberries, not a good thing in my little garden, but I hadn't got round to clearing them. And yesterday, on a research trip to prepare, I saw one of them has a raspberry on! So I shall be carefully collecting a few raspberries this morning2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hope you manage to get the form filled and sent off. Much more fun researching and writing for your protagonist than doing admin I imagine.
I'm not sure I've ever seen a Bergamot plant, I'll have to investigate, sounds lovely. Have a good day0 -
I did manage it thanks, teapot, and took photos of it too. All the info is safe
I've been lolloping about for quite a few hours now :rotfl: and I think I'd better take charge of the garden again, with all this rain its a **wonderful** time to dig up some weeds

I was amazed, actually
it was lovely!
I've remembered about raspberry leaf tea? And that you cut down raspberry canes every year, more or less? I foresee some dried raspberry leaf in my future too
I had two sets of effort in the garden today, both in the same area - yet another black plastic bag has disintegrated before the leaves could decomposeand as a result it's infested with weed roots
still, I'm catching this stuff earlier and earlier, just got to keep going. Well, tomorrow, obviously, not right now :rotfl:

Thanks apple! Earthie, rabbits eating mint? My word ... there must be rabbits very close by here, because there's quite a bit of open land, but I don't think they get into the back gardens.
I might have a pootle about today, but only locally - ambition today is to process my rhubarb harvestblanching and drying. Maybe do a bit more weeding while the going's good, as it's forecast to get really hot over the next few days.
And sending vibes up to the northern branch of our little family, some christenings going ahead today2023: the year I get to buy a car0
