Yah for the Scottish guy :D
I loathe foreign call centres as I cannot make out what they say & when I ask them to slow down & then they treat me as an idiot.

I really, really, really do not like flying ants. I think it stems from having to go in to a greenhouse full of them as a child. I say 'having to', but I have no idea what I needed to go in for...
Poor you! My thing about spiders comes partly from something like that, so I sympathise.

Exactly! Then he and I bonded about Scots and Scouse expats taking over the world :D Though I've just realised, there's no Scouser on Star Trek. Must start a petition :rotfl:

Thanks teapot! I was chuffed, I must say, and it's great to get it out of the way, the dread was building it up.

Me again :) some basics to be done:

    - pay cc
    - open new post: one cc has been demanding to refund me a credit balance from my Wickes refund for months, and now I've finally agreed (i'd have used it by now!) they aren't sending it. They're just making work for themselves and for me.
    - put the washing on. No problem line drying today!
    - I need to sort my TalkTalk debit, but I kind of OD'd on phone chat with utilities yesterday, I don't think I can do it, but I'd like to.
    - part of me wants to cower inside away from the sun. The other part of me wants to go to the posh charity shop I walked to yesterday evening - there's a leather electrical recliner with footstool for £135. I really need to replace this armchair I use, it's *so* uncomfortable.
    - digging in the garden would also be a good idea, if not for the sun - skin op is tomorrow, after all, I can't really go in there in the least tanned.
    - tidying upstairs would seem to be the answer, maybe sorting the 3rd box of cat ornaments I discovered recently :o

I did it! And I got it - only just, even while I was there, another lady came in to try to buy it. Delivery guys have phoned already, but I missed it. Also had a phone call from the new ISA people, the first transfer has turned up with them, and it misses their minimum payment by something like £4000 :rotfl: there's a lot more to turn up, though, so they're not to worry.

I'm definitely just hiding in the house now, its way too hot to do anything outside. Or too thoughtful, honestly :rotfl:

Well done on getting the armchair!

Agree that it got too hot to think too! Hoping it's cooler today and that your op goes OK.

Thanks madvix - it's this afternoon, which is slightly weird, but mornings at GP practices are for appointments, I guess. But it does mean I have to walk there in the hottest part of the day, so my new-to-me sun hat (a straw one with a big brim, that was my mum's) is getting good use. I only had a proper safari hat, which looked a bit odd in the UK :rotfl:
