 afternoon all. I'm lucky that my council-run walk is on a Monday morning, before all the forecast hot weather - but it does mean I don't manage to get my cup of coffee first thing
so that was nice to come back to. Lunch now! And a bit of computer research to do: I was introduced to what the walk leader thinks is a mirabelle tree? Got to find out what it looks like. And I told my sister that by the time she came home, I'd have re-researched how to sell our African silver.
Waiting till later on to go out gardening, even though I have my Factor 50 on2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Ooh, I'm dead impressed with myself
1. Checked out mirabelle plums, yes, that was a bit of fun
2. Checked out scrap silver dealers at Hatton Garden, phoned some, there are two that are worth going to for our Zimbabwean silver.

Phoned Three ... 3 times, I was about to dissolve and dribble through the plughole of the kitchen sink ... but I've got a new mobile phone contract!!!! 1GB data, 600 phone minutes, unlimited texts, for £6 a month (I expect VAT is on top of that) ... and it's still with Three, unbelievably, so I don't have to faff around with sims and pac codes and all the rest. I can't tell you what a big job this is, in my head. I need some champagne ... gimme that bottle of champagne over there, will you?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Sigh... I need to do this with 5ky for my broadband ASAP. I passionately hate these kinds of crappy adminy type of phone calls etc. It really annoys me that this is even necessary in order to get these things at a decent price when a contract comes to an end / ends.Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

It's a cocktail party :j:j:j
How lovelyand thank you all. It's absolutely the phone calls, for me, I can't bear them. But the Retention Guy was at least Scottish, and though his headset still made his voice fuzzy, communication was very doable
And that little series of phone calls has saved £8 a month - if I stay on it for 2 years, which is reasonable, thats nearly £200 saved!
Plus I have the evening off from gardening - it's Flying Ant day here, and though I don't mind being out in it in the evening, I really don't want to be digging the ground during it. So I'll be off for a little walkies soon2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I really, really, really do not like flying ants. I think it stems from having to go in to a greenhouse full of them as a child. I say 'having to', but I have no idea what I needed to go in for...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
