I did. Cooked spinach and broccoli too (bit cheaper at this time of year!) I love raspberries. We do have summer fruiting and autumn fruiting. The former tend to be smaller, sweeter, and better for jam. The latter are great for freezing and topping cakes with! (though I rarely eat cake...). I love frozen berries with greek yogurt - my go-to when we want a dessertSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

yes, nice and easy, and I suddenly realised that if everything goes ka-blooey next week, I might have difficulty in doing so. And they *are* owed it, after all!
- set up the CD player
That's one of those jobs that took forever. I didn't have any spare open packets of AA batteries, but I knew I'd just bought a big new packet of rechargeables. Could I find them? Erm, no. I looked everywhere. In desperation, I eventually opened up the two Amazon parcels I'd left sitting by the front door before I went catsitting. They were in one of the parcels:o:o

I have the autumn rasps, that you just cut down every year and they re-appear as if by magic the next year. Or, as I found out, if you don't cut them down, you get both summer fruit and autumn fruit! But that assumes you don't want to grow anything else!
I've dug up many of the roots to try to grow other stuff this year, knowing that if it all goes wrong, the rasps will spread again soon. In fact, I could send you some tubers now, if you want. I'm sure they'll put in valiant effort even if in pots for now. Let me know...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Result on eventually finding the batteries
Sounds like you are getting through jobs gradually. How long till kitchen renov starts?

Yes, I am with you on their ability to spread! We have a 1m deep bed and they have been putting in escape bids for several years - regularly in the raised beds that are 0.5m away, the other side of my gravel on membrane path with paving slabs as stepping stones (unlike hypericum they don't seem to grow under these) and up the outside edges of the beds themselves, where the membrane ends. DH either cuts everything down to the ground or leaves everything so I have stopped trying to explain the difference to him - I would rather he just clear it - the raspberries cope - they are just less in terms of crops. I tend to pull them up rather than dig them out - but if you miss a year that is rather like dealing with a tree!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

:rotfl: Renovation starts on 23rd April, delivery is on 11th April (I'm committed elsewhere between those dates).
I think I'm going to contact the British Heart Foundation and ask them to come round so I can donate furniture: a sofa, a vertical CD rack, a CD/radio/tape player and a food processor. Some aren't necessary, some need to be replaced. The sofa, in particular, will help with getting more space for storage of all the stuff.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

No, nothing is going ka-blooey, thank you! I need my European clients to pay me!
We have raspberry canes that I planted last year - no sign of them taking over yet, not that it would bother me - can't have too many rasps! That said, I know the ones at my Dad's don't share well with the strawbs!
Exciting to have dates all set for your work to be done! :jMortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
