Fantastic news on the French mortgage :j:j:j.

We are on the regular flight path for a lot of RAF planes and they often come roaring over quite low when they are presumably on training exercises. Very low, noisy and fast, they used to really spook our cat:eek:. They don't do much for my nerves either:o.
At our last place we regularly had the Spanish airforce roaring overhead on Friday afternoons. Now we get them rarely, but with the added bonus of sonic booms .
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Thanks Gally! I'll pay the management bill today, and next week's project will be finding out the new way to pay the tax bill.

I managed quite a lot more digging - couch grass roots :( and I've cleared a space to finally plant the sage, hurray, I left the roots out to dry a little bit, that needs to be tidied up, but there's quite dense fog here right now, temperature outside is still very low.

    Back later with a ta-da list :):):)

Ive been putting off digging over and weeding. My new strategy is to cover everything with seaweed which hides the weeds. When my back is stonger I'll dig it over!

Loving the seaweed, earthgirl :):):) Even the green bit of the couch grass is a foot long though :( and the brambles are horrendous :( plus I accidentally dug up one of my rhubarb plants today :(:o though I didn't cut through the tap root, and I packed it with fresh soil from Wickes, so it *might* be okay :o

The sage, however, is planted :j and the fennel is repotted :j though that needs a bit more soil in. Found some bulbs buried deep when I was digging a hole for the sage, so I put them in a pot too, I've no idea what they are, but if they survive, I'll plant them out when its appropriate.

The whole thing was shattering :p and I completely forgot about paying the management company. That will be okay to do tomorrow.

Also had a proper clean up in the living room, *proper* proper :D so thats a lot nicer now :) Got a bit of energy to do stuff, so I'm going to do stuff :D

Oh well done with paying off that French Mortgage. Whatever you do, you no longer have that obligation. I know it has hung heavy and this must be a bit of a lift.

Thanks SL! It means a lot, you're right :) and it doesn't hang as heavily (great phrase!) because its now paid off.

I've been visiting in Margate :) **very** chuffed to discover it, I've never been before. My friend there has been very ingenious in financing her move there - taking out a mortgage on her existing (London) flat and buying a rundown thing to renovate. Right on the seafront

Thats good to know beanie - I was surprised at how accessible the prices were too (compared to the south of England, anyway).
