Just having a quick catch up Karma. London meetings sound horrendous (but were so long ago now, I'm sure they've faded into the background!). Margate sounds lovely though - I studied for a year in Canterbury but never made it to Margate. Would second that the poor trains definitely only make it marginal for commuting....!

Hope you have a successful/productive day at your sister's today!

Thank you both :) Yep, lovely to be with my sister, we sorted some stuff, checked on where to sign the contracts, nattered with my niece, all of that, it was good. And, erm, I was a bit poorly, so she drove me home, bless her :) Not doing anything today except sitting in a chair :)

Thank you all! Yes, I intend to - especially because, ahem, the week-long cruise starts on Sunday :o:o:o I've checked the jobs I've got to do - 20 of them, and almost half are just on the computer. One is "bonfire", which can be abandoned straight away. Others are simple things like "paint toenails" :) So, 5 days, 19 tasks, we'll see. Shopping delivery is arriving early this afternoon, so the first job is to put that away. I still need to eat!

    Back later :)

I hope that the majority of the list is easily achievable and you are able to pace yourself ready for the cruise. Toenails is on my list (long overdue) for today too. Think I will make a cuppa and sit and whip off the old polish before I write my list. We are going away Friday for a few days (in new to us caravan), so list will have to be well thought out and not too optimistic:D

Thank maddie! I remember you buying your caravan recently, hope it goes well - I love that idea for a holiday too :)

My own list isn't going too badly:
    - paid French management company
    - emailed my Margate friend
    - collected cruise paperwork.

Beans are ready to go in the slow cooker, shopping has been delivered and I'm about to clean it and put away :) If I can also manage to check in online today, that will be 6 jobs done today out of the 19

6 out 0f 19 is pretty good:T, especially as you are feeling a bit under par. Pace yourself and make sure you're fully fit for your cruise:beer:

I've never painted my toenails (or my fingernails very often come to that). I have misshapen feet and wouldn't want to draw attention to them. I very rarely wear open-toed shoes or sandals and that's another reason why I don't do it. I used to be a terrible nail nibbler and what was left of my nails wasn't worth painting:o. I don't nibble them any more but sadly haven't much of a social life to make it worth using nail polish:(

I once had a middle-aged work colleague, my superior actually, who was very disinterested in fashion and a real 'Plain Jane' who never wore make-up, jewellery or any adornment. She sprained her ankle once at work and we rushed to assist her. Another colleague got her to remove her shoe and we could see through her tights/stockings that her toenails were painted a rather bright pink. We all found it quite endearing really for some reason. Maybe away from work she was a bit more glamorous than we knew;)
