    Hello lovely ladies

I have just packed away most of my clothes and have left myself just a small "capsule wardrobe" for now.

What can I say......I think a moratorium on all clothes spending is called for. :rotfl:

Having said that I'm not parting with any of my clothes because, apart from a few old rags I wear for decorating, gardening etc after having had several Kondo sweeps I actually love most of my clothes now.

Even my "at home" lounging around gear is actually quite stylish nowadays. ;)

Time for lunch, read a bit whilst I have a rest and then try and take some cuttings from some of my favourite plants.

thanks for telling me about the Kon Marie board , im enjoying learning from that too . Today we have tackled a few jobs in the house , Put some paperwork into storage boxes and labelled it up , Got LOTS of empty boxes down from the loft and cut them up ,, and they are now in the recycling bin , We saved them to store "Stuff" in as you do , but never did , and really the plastic storage boxes are a better option , as they stack better ,
On the fabbing front , i filed my feet this morning , all silky and soft now , after creaming them , and im trying to get my hands in better shape , so ive put a hand cream . all over the place, ( at the side of the kitchen sink / bathroom sink / side of the computer . bedroom , etc so any time i "Remember" to slap some hand cream on , ill have it to hand ( If youll pardon the pun ) . Got a nasty shock earlier , Id got some underwear drying on the line ,,went to get it in ,and "Something" bit me HARD , I wondered if it was a wasp inside a piece of clothing , It made me squeal !! It didnt even make a mark , but boy did it sting ,,,,,,,i couldnt find the culprit either , so be aware when youre getting washing in .

Moll. Ouch that sounds nasty. Don't wish to be alarmist but do keep an eye on that. If you start to feel odd or weird or unwell then be sure to get yourself checked out. Pity you can't identify the little blighter.

There has been an increase in what were considered tropical illnesses such as Lyme Disease in the U.K. (hint the insects that cause this are found in long grass so do be careful when dog walking or going for walks in the country - avoid open shoes and bare legs). I guess it's all down to climate change but apparently we are not used to some of these exotic beasties and the illnesses they can cause.

A lovely day here. Unfortunately I can't go out at the moment. I had my eye screening this morning. They squirt dye into the eye and now my pupils are dilated and I can't stand bright sunlight for a few hours.

I did manage to pop into Aldi's.....stocked up on healthy stuff, cleaning materials and their soy day serum and night cream. Just £4.50 for the two. I'm looking very tired and my skin is looking a bit worse for wear. Time to up the ante.Water, rest, more sleep, facials and some serious TLC.

Btw. Received my mortgage offer yesterday. It's all coming together. Hopefully it won't be too long now. It would be nice to move in during the summer.

    Hello Ladies,

I was so embarrassed and regretful about shouting at Wayne on Sunday evening, that I apologised to him on Tuesday morning by text and then again with a quick phone call. I agreed to meet and talk with him on Wednesday evening. We went to Nando's and he would not allow me to pay for my own meal. We then spent a lot of time talking over some of the issues which make me feel so insecure. He was very open and honest with me and put a lot of my fears to rest. :D

My 2 young adult children are glad that I have apologised to Wayne and resolved everything with him. :D

My younger son has now finished 6th Form and his A Level exams. :D We just have to wait until August when he gets his exam results, so that we know which of his 3 University offers he will be accepting. Then he will be off to University in September. :D

He will be 18 years old next Thursday and the family celebration meal will be on Saturday 30th June at a local Pizza Express. :D

After the celebration meal I will concentrate on making a list of all the items my son will need to take with him to University and I will also be teaching him to cook cheap nutritious meals for himself and how to wash and dry his clothes well. He needs to be well acquainted with the washing machine and tumble dryer. I will also have to teach him how to iron shirts as this is the only item of his clothes that usually need a little extra grooming after a tumble dry. Even his jeans do not usually need any attention after a tumble dry. I cannot let him 'fly the nest' without the skills to manage his life well. He is intending to come home at regular intervals though. He is normally very tidy and organised when he is living at home but the same may not be true when he is at University. Time will tell.

I am getting financially ready to lose the money I receive for him for Child Tax Credit and Child Benefit which will both end on the last week in August 2018. That will leave a big deficit of £81.53 each week in my household budget.

I have done a lot of stockpiling of non food household items and also bought a lot of skincare products for myself from my birthday money in recent weeks to help cushion the blow in the first 6 months of having the reduced income.

I am on track to have my Council Tax fully paid for April 2018 to April 2019 paid by the end of July before my weekly income will take such a big drop. That will be the last large monthly bill that I currently pay that will be fully paid up for the current tax year.

I am going to see Gina Yashere at the Under Belly Festival on Southbank on Friday evening. I am so looking forward to having a good laugh.

I bought myself a new pair of Van Dal Sandals from eBay from my birthday money. They are so gorgeous on my feet. They make my size 6 wide feet look smaller and they are instantly comfortable to wear which is what I have come to expect from Van Dal shoes and sandals. :j:D That is why I own so many pairs of this particular brand of shoes and sandals.

The sun is shining here in London. :D

A beautiful day here today . Ive just got home from meeting some friends for a meal in town , We do this every month , Actually my friend started it , as she was going through a divorce , and had lost most of her friends during her marriage , so asked on the internet if anyone local wanted to meet up once a month with her for a friendly meal . I said id go . 2 of her other friends ( Whom i didnt know at the time but have since got to know really well ) and now we are up to 7 of us , Meet every month , and have all become good friends, Been doing it for about 18 months now .
( I did already know the woman who started it , known her for about 20 years , dont think id have just met up with a complete stranger )

LL thanks for the sting advice , I sprayed it with some insect repelent and it took the pain away straight away , and luckily so far i havent had any side effects x

i recieved some health and fitness magazines from my American friend , They have lots of beauty tips in , Now i dont know if any of these work ,,,,,,,but heres a couple , of "Fabbing" ideas that wont break the bank
    Diminish Age Spots
it says skincare experts swear by the power of grapefruits to help fade them
Method ,,,,,,,,,, Mix 2 tablespoons of fresh squeezed grapefruit juice , with a quarter cup of plain Greek yoghurt , and 2 tablespoons of honey
Dab the mixture onto any spots and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse. Use 3 times a week for results in under a month .

    Spa , for healthy feet
Daily walks are rough on your feet . the skin on your heels gets thick and dry. so cut a lemon in half and squeeze out the juice ( Squeeze into a jar for later use if desired ) Place your heels in the lemon halves and cover with socks, Remove after 15 minutes , Acid in lemon exfoliates skin , plus kills bacteria if youre feet are smelly ,

Hi, haven't posted for ages :o

Got my hair cut about 2 weeks and it really does make me feel fab :D. Probably got around 6 inches taken off and it means I actually have to style it every day instead of sticking it up in a bun.

I've been trying to eat healthier and have lost a couple of pounds, still a bit to go until my ideal feel good weight but it's a step in the right direction :)

Keeping up my skincare regime and trying to wear a bit of eye make-up every day, both of which makes me feel just a little more fab.

    Welcome Klew356,

It is never too late to start fabbing. I only discovered this thread in my fifties and I am now 56.

I learn so much from all the women on here and it makes me focus on making the best of myself and pampering myself every day even when I do not really want to bother
