I use the pyrex dishes all the time. i bought maybe ten of the pyrex glass dishes with plastic lids and they are fab. I like them more than the plastic storage or wasteful disposable. they are so strong and just really easy to remove my welted on cooking, if you see them on offer buy loads as it is a real investment. i use so little plastic now as it annoys we when i can not remove the stain from tomato based foods.
I agree with maddiemay pixi is a good start, it is very mild and gentle. I prefer my acids to be more strong. I have used the neostrata wipes ((NeoStrata Smooth Surface Daily Peel) and very good but are strong 10%, I have used their super powerful treatment of Glycolic Treatment Peel 20% aha and 12% pha and they are fantastic to cheaply and effectively really do a lot of deep peeling. these are not starter items and are highly effective. if you have a wedding coming up i would use it at least 2 months before as the benefits last.
i would avoid aldi ones, not powerful enough for me, but i have been using strong acids for nearly 16 years. i sometimes get new potions in tk max has more american brands. personally i prefer a mix of acids verses a straight glycolic, lactic seems to be more gentle and less sensitive while still being highly efficient. just remember your sun factor.0 -
Hi
I can't believe I've only just found this thread. It is exactly what I need and I'm hoping for a new one for 2019 so that I can join in0 -
Yesterday's fabbing was getting rid of 3 bags of various descriptions that had felt too "good" to get rid of - but persuaded myself "Hey - they aren't leather - so they aren't that "good" " and out they went to a good cause.
Why on earth had I kept one of those bumbags that used to be popular for so long? Duh!
Another pair of knickers "hit the ground" as too big for me yesterday - and out they went.
You never know - I should be able to wear my glamour knickers again that I bought a few years back.:rotfl:
No-one to appreciate them and it's often too cold here for them - but still....:rotfl:0 -
I finally decided on alpha h sleep power peel, some of the others were twice the price and this one isn`t cheap. I found the best price via the net, cheaper than the average plus with an extra 15ml in a small tube. Going to get some cotton wool pads today, going to take advice about wetting the pad first, to get used to it0

I haven't used the Power Peel, but there are several other products of theirs that I like and use. Keep an eye on QVC prices, sometimes good offers there. The Protection Plus spf 50 day cream is a must for me:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
The idea of a facial peel scares me for some reason!:D
I just did a face mask and I'm about to put a hair treatment on.
I had an idea this morning when I woke up and I ordered some Dylon dyes in 5 of my winter colours. I thought that when I look around the charity shops tomorrow I can also look for white or pale clothes that I could dye to the right colours later.
I bought tulip red, navy, ocean blue, emerald green and deep violet.
I started using my trampoline for the first time in ages yesterday. I could only manage 10 minutes but I'm hoping to build on that. I used to be able to do over an hour on there.0 -
Lisbon today. Bit hazy. Bit cooler but sun breaking through as I write. Just about to go ashore
Last port. Home Saturday. Fabulous cruise. Lovely weather. Feeling rested and energised.
Will
Catch up
Properly later.

Hello Ladies,
I went to Karaoke last night and had a very enjoyable evening. I did not go to my usual venue, I went to a venue that I used to frequent a lot in the past. It was great to see all of the old faces and a few new ones.I sang 4 songs:
Fever by Peggy Lee
Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You by Andy Williams
Wonder Of You by Elvis
Lean On Me by Bill Withers
I am going to a local theatre this evening, which I am really looking forward to0 -

The clothes dyeing idea is genius, n those colours are gorg
We had a bit of a drama last night:Sooty, my 8 month old Grandcat, got stuck in a really high tree, inside a locked allotment. He'd been missing at this point for 24 hoursMy DD rang both the RSPCA, n the fire brigade who both couldn't help .By this time the cat , DD n the Grandkids were all screaming. Anyway luckily one of their neighbours brought a ladder, n SIL finally went up get him, in thr pitch black. He's now home n under house arrest for a while
I couldn't cope with the worry of a cat going missing"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
