Grey here too silvasava. But at least it's warmish and dry.:)
Funnily enough I looked at some chinos in Zara this week. It's a look I like but decided that it's too late for this summer. I've found that because of the lovely, hot weather I've hardly worn trousers of any sort at all this year. I put some jeans on to go out on 10th August and that was the first time since 13th June:eek:. I can pinpoint it around going away on holiday and a 'smart casual' lunch date. The only other time was wearing a strappy jumpsuit some evenings while I was away.
I've decided that what I do need is some more long sleeved tops. I've got a number (too many:o) of Breton tops but I need more fine, fitted ones for when it's not quite warm enough for short sleeves or vests. I really only have two that are smart enough.
I noticed these in Topshop

and they come in our favoured olive green chanie.:D I'd need to try them on though as while I don't want long tunics I don't like a gap round my waist as it can be uncomfortable and draughty!:rotfl:
The only fab thing I'll be doing today is cooking a lovely roast.
Have a good day all.:)0 -

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
SDW - Brilliant - lots of fun! Hope the weather improves so you can get the top down. Lovely on local and country roads but I dont recommend it on motorways:(Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Definitely fabbing......have fun.0 -
Maman.....I like those kind of tops too, very versatile, great for layering.
Just finished sorting the cellar, everything boxed up.
Getting there.
I'm not going through this again. I have still got far too much stuff......despite all the kondoing.
Next time I move I will be downsizing to a small but perfect swanky city apartment. I shall get a house clearance company in and get rid of everything..... keeping only the best of the best. Lol.0 -

No, we are not intending to do much motorway driving (the seating position is about the same height as a lorry exhaust!)(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Hi fabbers,
7 day the car is amazing.
The majority of the building works on the house has been completed, so we can get on with decorating. We are taking the opportunity to declutter at the same time and have been quite ruthless.
I hope everyone had a nice weekend.0 -

Exactly!!!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
I'm very glad to say that having lost a good amount of weight, almost three stone, I now have no trouble getting in (and out) of our little car. I'm really pleased, before I lost the weight I would have had trouble getting out . I thought this was due to age, but it wasn't:j:j:T.
My husband has slight trouble getting out as he has arthritic knees. :rotfl:
I still have quite a lot to go with the weight loss. No-one knows what I weigh, not even my husband, but I have set myself a realistic (not too low) target and I have 1.5 stones to go before I reach it. I will tell people when I have reached it, and how much weight I have lost, but not the before and after weights
Hope everyone is progressing OK with house moves/social lives/general fabbing!(AKA HRH_MUngo)
