    Hi everyone,

Our luck finally run out (a bit) and we had snow through the night.
The forecast suggested it would snow all day so we considered cutting our break short and going home. Luckily we didn't do that as the weather was serious on the roads near home and we never saw snow agin here although it is forecast for later.
Hoping we will get home OK tomorrow. We are only 2 hrs 15 mins from home in normal circumstances - if we had a boat it would be a lot less!
    Hope everyone is OK.

    sheils x

Evening everyone  hope you are all staying safe and warm in this treacherous weather. Roads around here not gritted either and we live just near a long steep bank which is generally busy. My school is closed and girls school and college is closed but still waiting on sons school which is still wanting school to be open! It's a bit silly really as my school shares a path/Road with sons and we have been told it's too dangerous!

Hope you manage to get home safe and well Sheils. I saw that it's red alert your way. Ours is in between amber and red at the minute!

We should be having daffodils ready to come out and getting ready for spring! :D
Hope everyone's been having some wins. I might comp for a change tomorrow seeing as I'm off work :)

    Stay safe everyone x
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Morning peeps. It is freezing here. Snow is going nowhere. Pavements are a nightmare as well as roads. DS managed to get home ok yesterday but he has an important meeting this morning so hopefully he got to base without to much trouble. Schools are all closed so kids are having a ball with snowball fights and sledging. Most of neighbours were home early from work yesterday and no one seems to be in a hurry this morning to go anywhere. Keep safe and well whatever you are doing today.

:hello: Good morning all from snowy Hampshire!

It's feeling brrrrrrr here, glagla.gif woke up to a very
white scene this morning - still snowing but thankfully not as
bad as parts of the UK. It looks very bad up your way rose.
Sounds dreadful up with you too wingo!

It was blowing a right hooley yesterday evening and thru
the night which I gather is Storm Emma meeting up
with the Beast from the East! We're on Amber
    alert at present.

Yesterday my daughter sent me lovely photos of grand-
daughter standing proudly beside her snowman - 10 mins
later that all had to scuttle indoors because the falling
snow had quickly turned into blizzard conditions. _pale_

Don't think I'll be venturing out anywhere today - will
stay warm indoors, do a bit of housework and catch up
    with comps!

Have a safe journey home sheils. xx

Have a great day all and please stay safe, particularly if
    venturing outside.

Morning, we had a little snow overnight but nothing to speak of. Been told to expect it from 2pm and it will be heavy then.It is freezing out and very windy. I went out to put rubbish in green bin and had to chase something i dropped as blew out my hand.I will be taking son to work soon and have to pop to shop for milk and bread but won't be going out once back home.
Hope your journey home isn't too bad sheils.

Snowing her now. Some of the pavement cleared with the sun yesterday but snow everywhere today. Not as bad as your way though Rose and Wing.

Great to hear from you Wingo. Good luck comping.

Shells hope your journey home isnt too bad.

Firefly agree with you about gritting hope you don't need to go out.

Great you are not working today Indie stay warm.

I went out yesterday to shops in soft snow when it was sunny but later wind came up. We have a very very heavy front door and at one point while putting rubbish out I had it on the latch and it blew open. I thought DH had opened it but he was upstairs.

Son was better since Monday and yesterday he made it back to Kent. fortunately his was a severe head cold and not flue.

GSs school was closed yesterday but it was DD1s day off and she helped friends with a family move. They were told school would be closed today so she came with GS and stayed the night.

Thanks for the coffee and Toast Firefly.

Yes Alfie Happy St David's Day. Great your GD finished the snowman.

Hope everyone is warm. Take care.
