Good Morning all,
Bit dull here and supposed to be raining all day. Really annoying since we had a nice day yesterday which we spent going to the opticians. Still I had a bit of a shopping spree! Ordered myself some nice purple glasses which I can collect on my way home from the Lakes next week. Also bought some navy jeans, pink shorts and undies (going to have a clear out of old ones!)
We went to Table Table and had free burgers with our points before we lost them. Annoys me the way those companies subtract your points after a year. My best buy was 2 nights in July at Edinburgh in the IHG points sale though. Would have cost £270 and free to me as used 30,000 points. Normally would cost 70,000 points so really chuffed.
Got DD coming up with pasta salad for our lunch as her BF made too much and he is away on another course now. She is coming for dinner tonight too. She is having today off and working Saturday I think so their dog gets looked after by them instead of other people having to help.
Going to visit my parents soon. Mum had to sit a safety driving test thing and failed so she won't be in a very good mood.
Glad your blood results were fine indie.
Hope you get your bills paid I Love comps. Got some to organise online too.
Hope all well with you both, FF and Alfie.
Legoland would be great for your GS leanfun. We went to the one in Denmark with the older 2 boys and then went to the UK one with the younger 2 many years later. Really enjoyed them both.
Must get on. Not managing many comps at the moment but have been doing lots of walking to please my fitbit!
Have a good day everyone - be lucky.

Afternoon. We have just sat down after more bedmaking. I definitely would not like to run a B&B.
DD2 didn’t feel too great this morning and decided wanted to drive home in the daytime. So we took the children to the park while she packed. DD1 and her son joined us. So DD2 went off after an early lunch. Since then it has not stopped raining here.
Our DS is on his way here for a couple of days so has missed seeing them.
Sheils weather sounds frustrating for you. Well done on your stay in Edinburgh that was a real bargain. Do hope your Mum is not too upset. With my poor coordination I never learnt to drive but I know friends have been upset when they have had to give up. I’m sure it’s not so easy to get about without a car where you live.
DD1 and GS have friends who live near the Denmark Legoland so they have been there too. They went to the Windsor one on some deal or they would not have gone on a Bank Holiday with huge queues. She did book a travel lodge for night before for £29. They enjoyed it despite the crowds.
Indie pleased you had good blood results. Did your mixer arrive?
I Love Comps hope you have had a good day.
Better try to catch up with some comps end of months coming.
Good luck all0 -
Afternoon
Yes leanfun my mixer did turn up thanks. Just had an email from Love sewing magazine. I have won a £200 fabric bundle from Bombay Stores. That was a nice surprise.
You wouldn't want my job making beds is part of it and if i got 1p for every bed i have made over the last 25 years i would be rich, lol.
I hope your DD2 had a good drive home and feels better tomorrow.
It must be annoying for companies subtract your points after a year sheils, you would think they would carry them over.Glad you got use out of them. It's been raining here since 12ish, so no gardening for me today.0 -

Indie mega congratulations on your fabric win. Lovely surprise well done.
Lots of lovely material.
DD2 didn’t get home till after five had to keep stopping at service stations with children. Sadly she has had arthritis since she was 14 and sometimes it really flares up.

Morning, the prize turned up this morning, that's what i call quick, lol. There is some lovely material in there and i am sure i will be able to make some nice things with it.Glad your DD and kids got home ok leanfun and her flare up dosen't last long.I got up at 3 this morning as hips were really aching and couldn't settle but may have a nap later.Rain has finally stopped here and we have a breeze,so have washing on line and another one in machine.
Hope you all have a lucky day.0 -
Wow that was quick indie. Great you like the material and are able to think of things to make. Sorry to hear you too had a lot of pain in the night hope it improves.
I’ve been looking for cotton full length trousers for DD2 online. Only a couple of possibilities so far. Seems not a lot of cotton about. SIL had said she was having problems finding some in LA too.
Loads of comps to catch up on but not started yet and have DD1s son tomorrow. Still he has a party to go to in the afternoon so just need to take him there.
Sunny here now. Good luck all.0 -

Happy birthday Alfie :bdaycake: Sending best wishes for a this coming year. It’s only a number it’s more important how old you feel.
PS don’t mind me Alfie. I’ve just been typing my age into too many comps.
Have a great day.0
