Morning. Well done on book win Indie and the lamp. Hope the book will make a present for your nephew’s son. We didn’t have one of those lamps but remember them.

We had a very lazy day here yesterday. Will try for the same today. Need to do a bit of housework too.

There’s a slight chance of some rain today for Trooping of the Colour.

Afternoon,


Been a bit of a wet morning after some nice days when we managed to get washing up to date, cut lawns and the hedge.
Was expecting a quiet week but DS3 came down last night for the weekend and DS2 and GF coming down on Tuesday. DD and BF were here for meal last night too so been busy. Got DS3's washing on line so hoping it stays dry now - don't like puting designer shirts in drier incase they shrink.


Sounds like you had fun at the jazz leanfun. Glad you managed to figure out the Instagram app. I hate having to always do it on the phone.


Watched some of the D Day stuff too indie. Enjoyed seeing some of Portsmouth again. We did enjoy our visit there last year especially as the weather was so good. Well done on the wins. I have a lava lamp I got as a present few years ago (not from 70's!)

Must go and get my steps up on the fitbit while it is dry.

Morning, thank goodness the wind and rain has stopped,and the sun is out.Just checked my plants and they are a bit battered but ok. lol sheils thinking you were going to have a quiet week. It's always the way.I have washing in ready to hang out and some housework to do later.Hope you all have a good day.

Morning we have the rain now and quite chilly.

Sheils last week your turn to be busy but it is good to catch up with family. We did manage a very quiet weekend with lots of sport in TV.

Well I’m really happy I can do everything in Instagram on iPad.
Last year I downloaded Instagram app on iPad and had no no direct messages. Last week downloaded it on phone. Now thanks to iCloud I can not only get direct messages on iPad but also go through all the mentions and likes. It is so much quicker now and I can do everything. Wow. Just need some wins.

Morning, dull and wet here not raining heavy at the moment but we have had weather warnings it will be later.Glad you had a restful weekend leanfun. I am still trying to figure out how to share messages on my phone with instagram but sure i will eventually, lol. Glad you have it worked out now. Hope you get some wins soon.

Hope you’re all in fine fettle on this ‘was wet, now dry’
Monday!


Had a fantastic time in France, we had a wonderful
apartment in Les Villages Nature Paris. :j Most def our
type of place, eco & family friendly, loads to get involved
with, short bus ride to Disneyland etc. Had a whale of a
time at Disneyland, loved by little kids & not so little
kids.

It was SILs birthday while we were there so we stuck 2
candles in a croissant for him to blow out, _party_ plus
he received a birthday badge at the park! :beer:

I also received more birthday pressies including a brand new,
up to date .......... phone! Yay! :j:j :T:

I love it and the Nokia has now been tucked away in the
back of a drawer, enjoying a well deserved & long overdue
retirement.

I’m slowly getting to grips with the new model, although on
one of my photos (group foto in front of Star Wars Hyperspace
Mountain) I accidentally cut all their heads off & half the sign
too. :rotfl::rotfl: I managed it fine on the second try.

We loved quirky Paris but got the train there, didn’t fancy our
chances driving, it’s manic! :eek: Headed straight to the Hard
Rock Cafe for meal before tackling the sights.

I’ve had a mega comp catch up, also helping a dear elderly
gentleman who lives fairly close to me. His beloved wife
passed away just before Xmas (married for 57 years). Sadly
she had been diagnosed with cancer of the blood then
Kidney failure. She was a lovely lady & we used to enjoy
chatting about gardening, she was a very keen gardener
too. He understandably has good days and bad days so I
asked him if I could help out in his garden - he was over the
moon so I pop in when I can to prune, weed etc. He also
has a carer & cleaner who visit him regularly.

Morning all,

Dropped DS3 at Ardrossan railway station yesterday and caught ferry to Arran with our free tickets. Had a brilliant day in the sunshine. Went to Brodick Castle and Gardens. Was exhausted by the time we got to Premier Inn at Ayr last night and starving by the time we got to Frankie and Bennys across the road. Now we have to rush back home as DS2 and gf coming to stay. DD coming for dinner too. (Her bf is working tonight)
No comping for me today.

Great you had a lovely time Alfie.

Must get in the shower and head for home
