Heating in here. I’ve been cold all day. Have a good evening everyone.
Hi leanfun :hello:
Many thanks for comp link, I’ve just entered, got everything
crossed! I could watch the birdies on my new phone if I’m
lucky enough to win!
Just about to have breakfast then go out for walk. It’s been
raining through the night but looks ok out now.

Morning, our rain stopped overnight but it's come back. It's not heavy at the moment, lets hope it stay that way, lol. Enjoy your walk Alfie. I have just spotted a huge spider up in the corner of my living room, think it's come in to get dry. It will be ok if it stays there.I had one in my conservatry the other day and every time i opened the door it run out then run back where it came from, When it saw me. I said to my son "wonder if it thinks we are having a game here",lol.maybe the one on the wall is the same one.I am leaving the conservatry door open in the hope it goes out.
I have food shopping and washing to do today, hope you all have a good day.0 -
Hope everyone has got better weather now. Have been quite lucky here.
Bit windy today but sunny and the washing all drying nicely.
Was a bit of a mix up with appointment at hairdressers yesterday but all got done eventually although a bit late. Pleased it is done now anyway!
Got beds changed after family coming and packing nearly finished so getting excited now.

Thanks for the pic Sheils. Great you had your hair done ready to go away. I’m sorry I forgot where you are off to. This next week’s weather is supposed to be better. Hope you have a good journey and enjoy the break.
Had some bad news yesterday a friend, who does not live near us, has had bad memory problems with numbers. Last week he went for a blood test and was called back to the doctors to say it shows he has some diabetes. He also failed a short memory test the doctor gave him. Looking up the figures for dementia are quite frightening with the aging population.
DH and I had a little trip up to Westminster yesterday and dodged some showers. We are going over to DD1 ‘s this afternoon so hope weather will be better. Bit warmer here we didn’t need the heating on.
Have a good weekend all and good luck.0 -
Well I’ve just looked at the Mail online and coincidence or what this article shouted out at me.

It’s American but Some of the tips are good. Well done to Alfie and Sheils all those walks will be doing your brain good as well as physically.
Strangely when I was at work instead of catching two buses I walked the first psrt mainly due to traffic jams but in that fairly short sharp walk I would come up with my best ideas and plans.
It’s all food for though.0 -
Morning, sorry to hear you had bad news leanfun.I have to agree the figures for dementia are scary. They have meds to slow it down but hopefully they can find a cure sooner than later. Enjoy your visit to your DD1.
Have a good trip sheils.I hope the weather is nice for you.
It's another wet day here, sun is in and out but black clouds are coming this way.Not got anything planned for today.0 -
:hello: Good morning
Beautiful start to the day here, similar to yesterday afternoon. The
sun is shining away ☀️ and thankfully no more rain for the time
being.
Managed to do some gardening yesterday for gent who I mentioned
a few days ago. His garden’s looking better already, although I’m
thankful that I find weeding very therapeutic because an awful lot of
the blighters have shot up with all the rain we’ve had!
Huge thanks to the New Forest Roads Campaign speed watch
team & Hampshire Police. In just one hour yesterday between
6.30pm-7.30pm (on a certain New Forest road), 44 motorists were
recorded above the 40mph speed limit. The highest was a motorbike
at 61mph.
Lots of drivers were overtaking so they didn’t notice the speed
watch crew until it was too late. A very productive hour. :T

Have a lovely break sheils, apologies - I can’t remember where
you’re off to either, I’ve lost track.
Sorry to hear of your sad news leanfun, many thanks for the link.
Very interesting. Must admit, I love my walks in the forest, plenty
of fresh air etc, gives me a feel good factor. Plus I also put the
world to rights & come up with some excellent ideas/plans for the
days ahead too!
Lol at the spiders in your house indie! 🕷 😳 I think I’m ok when
I come across them outside (sort of!), but not very keen when they
come indoors. Spotted a ginormous one above my kitchen window
the other day, then he suddenly scuttled away & disappeared. Went
into panic mode, wondering where he was lurking but thankfully I
located him in the sink so scooped him up in a glass & put him
outside. No doubt he’ll be making his way back to the house soon!
Also saved one the other day, I’d filled up the watering can & saw a
spider frantically swimming away inside. Managed to find a twig
which he grabbed using all his legs 🕷 😳 & I swiftly put him, (still
clinging for dear life on the twig) in my flower border - didn’t fancy
him coming too close to show his appreciation! :rotfl:
Have a lovely Saturday all, take care.

Thanks folks.
Going to Cornwall! Stopping on way down at Droitwich then 3 nights near Newquay and 4 nights near Helston (2 different caravans breaks) then Minehead, Bridgwater and then Garstang as a break on way back.
Finished my packing and just going to bring in last of washing.
Probably won't be able to get online much so good luck to everyone.

:hello: Good morning
Hope you’re all ok.It was a beautiful start to the day here, and
I enjoyed a wonderful walk in the sunshine. ☀️ I’ve literally been
back home for about half an hour and now it’s absolutely chucking
it down! ☔️
Think it’s going to be one of those days, a mix of sunshine & wet
stuff.
Puddy cat is happily sending up zzzzzz’s on the pouffe, I’ve
been forgiven now, happy days.
Think I’ll be catching up with comps this morning then out
gardening this afternoon when the weather brightens up a little!
Have a lovely Sunday all, take care.
