:hello: Good morning all,
Loved hearing about your Burns Night, (in the afternoon), for
the residents indie. :A Brought a smile to my face.
I've bought a veggie haggis & will be eating it tonight &
tomorrow with tatties & neeps. Love neeps - Mum was
a bonny Scots lass :A & I grew up eating lots of Scottish
scrumptiousness including 'chappit' neeps. The only veg I
find bleurgh are butter beans, _pale_ can't stand them.
Apparently vegetarian haggis are really popular this year! :T

Brilliant deal on the new car sheils. :T I've always loved Cornwall,
since my hippy days!Beautiful scenery. Spent a summer
there with friends (years ago) & it's also where I first met DH
(who was stationed at Culdrose) ......

Well collected our car - called it Bluebell but Belle for short!
Went to Tesco and spent £50 to get the 5p off fuel voucher and then filled her up ready for our next trip. Feel like we have done a hard days work.
It is absolutely bucketing down here so haven't even taken a pic yet.
Used to love the Shirley Hughes "Alfie" books. Remember reading them to my kids infact probably still have some.
We had haggis when DS1 and his Gf came over from Sydney as his gf wanted to try all the Scottish dishes. He had made her it before though and she loved it. I can't stand mashed neeps though and have to take mine out and have in chunks!
Hope everyone is having a nice day.

Holocaust Memorial Day 2019
Remembers Those 'Torn From Home'
The annual event looks to raise awareness not only of the
atrocities of Nazi Germany but genocides that have followed.
MPs have come together in the Commons in support of Holocaust
Memorial Day, which will be marked this Sunday.
The annual event looks to raise awareness not only of the

Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia, and Darfur.
Between 1941 and 1945, six million Jewish men, women and
children were murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators.
More than one million of those died at Auschwitz, the most
notorious of the Nazis' extermination camps.

The wind isn't so bad now, thank goodness. No damage to
report! :j In fact, although still quite chilly, the sun's shining
away here now.Drove to my nearest big supermarket and
stocked up with quite a few provisions - so that's another job
done & dusted.
Also I've a parcel being delivered today plus I mustn't forget to
do the 'Big Garden Birdwatch' either! Topped up their seed etc -
hopefully my usual customers will come by to feast.Morning all I am a little unsure how to go about comping and would really like to give it a go. Am amazed at all you knowledgeable people and hope to follow your advice. Many thanks

Actually, I managed to post a comp this morning (it doesn't
happen very often, a very rare occurrence)!:rotfl::rotfl:

I think the main thing about comping is to treat it as a fun
hobby, enter comps you're interested in, then forget about
them & move on to the next ones - IYSWIM.
Hope the above info helps - would love to hear how you get
on.
Take care,
Alfie xxxMILITARY WIVES CHOIRSHELP for HEROES0 -
Hi anglebee welcom to the forum. Alfie has given you some good links and advice. Enter and forget. You soon get the hang of the crosses and ticks. Main thing is enter and forget.
Alfie well done on completing the Bird watch. Good idea to stock up as cold weather forecast for the coming week.
Also well done on posting the comp for Mutts. I have not found many comps not on here recently and to be honest feel a bit nervous about posting. I can be prone to mistakes.
Had a big surprise this morning I had a message over on twitter to say I’ve won tickets to a Jazz concert tomorrow evening. DH is really chuffed.
It’s been a cold wet day here. Hope everyone has an enjoyable evening.0
